Clare is a fantastic host. A small business that is run by family members, fantastic atmosphere, very well priced menu with a good range of options. Well worth a visit.

It should have been six stars!! I am visiting very frequently and service is always very polite, helpful and friendly :) Coffee is great and if you really hungry get beast breakfasts its like portion for two!! I am visiting many places and this one I can recommend 10000%%

A fabulous venue. Great staff, very welcoming, good value and really well cooked food. A definate plus is that it's dog friendly.

First visit today and it had to be a Sunday dinner. lots of choice of meats with a selection of 6 vegetables, as well as being able to order cauliflower cheese, which was the only thing which could of been a bit better quite watery, everything else was really good. The staff were attentive and really friendly. Excellent First visit.

Had a lovely welcome for a friend's surprise party, nothing was too much trouble for them all, will definitely be calling again. Food was excellent, all the meals were hot and came at the same time x

I visited here in my lunch break as I only had an hour and it was close to my place of work. I am a vegetarian and so asked if the Shakshuka could be made without chorizo stating that I was a vegetarian. The member of staff checked with the 'chef' and it was agreed that that could be done. My partner ordered the gammon and chips. We waited 30 minutes for food which seemed acceptable if it was being made fresh.When the food was brought out, I tasted the Shakshuka and noticed a meaty taste. On checking, the dish was full of chorizo. I complained to staff who went to check with the 'chef'. They then brought my dish back asking me to point out the chorizo as the 'chef' denied there being any, which I did! They then said that there had been 2 chefs and one had made it with chorizo and not communicated to the other that there was chorizo in it. Totally unacceptable. I can only wonder if they are as careless with allergies as they are with dietary requirements.By this time I had 20 minutes of my lunch break left and could not and did not want to wait for them to make a dish 'fresh' so asked to be refunded for my meal and went next door to get something quick to eat whilst my partner finished his food. On my return my partner had left most of his gammon on the side of the plate commenting that it was 'chewy and inedible'. At this point the manager came over and told me that I could not eat the item I had brought in on their premises!I am not a person that complains but I found the whole experience upsetting and frustrating and would not recommend this establishment under any circumstances. The serving staff are polite and friendly and unfortunately, this is not supported by the kitchen staff or management.As I am unable to respond to the establishment's reply I am editing my review here. My order was placed at 12pm and placed in front of me at 12.28. That is not 15 minutes. My partner continued to eat his chips and side salad as we had paid for it and already wasted time and money, but said that the gammon was 'chewy and inedible'. With regards to there being 1 piece of chorizo, that is incorrect. I had already accidentally eaten 1 piece and my partner had eaten a second to check as we were incredulous that it had contained any. There were several more pieces in the sauce. As you rightly say yourself, 'this was totally unacceptable'. You say that you don't know anywhere else that would allow me to bring something in. I would imagine that if anywhere else had served a vegetarian a meat dish they could have made an exception for someone who was not in the view of anyone else taking a bite out of a pasty in a bag. I am also sorry I had to write this review.
