Cold Town House

Food, service and staff are amazing and live the palace for a day/night out. Marked down as had a cheese board tonight to finish and it had 1 and 1/2 oatcakes? 3 generous portions of cheese and shortage of crackers, oatcakes or even toast is a bit shortsighted.

After visiting edinburgh castle it is nice to have lunch or dessert at cold Town house, friendly atmospher. You can either sit inside or sit at the terrace and enjoy the castle view.

We enjoyed the place. Didn’t know about needing a reservation at dinner time so we weren’t able to experience at night, but went back for lunch on our last day. It was fun and there were hardly any people. Bathrooms really cool.

One of the best places I've visited at Edinburgh. The pizzas are literally the best I've had in last few years. Beer was out of the world. Will come back again soon.

Had some great food here on the rooftop terrace. The haggis pizza was delicious and the buffalo wings too. Didn’t have high hopes for the food but my expectations were surpassed. The view of the castle is great too. Would highly recommend

Great food with a few Vegan options, had the Nae Bull Burger and the Meadows Pizza, both delicious.Views and vibes from the top floor are fantastic so will be eating from there next time.Burger was 15 quidFriendly service however a little slow but it was super busy. Managed to get a table for 2 on a sunny Sunday without reservation

Massive thank you to the team for hosting our Christmas lunch on Thursday. The food, drinks and service were fantastic and everyone was so attentive and friendly. We even managed to attend the christmas quiz after. There were a couple of drop outs and this was handled really well by CTH. Fabulous experience and we had a very merry time.

Lovely cocktail consumed in there on cocktail week. The building is quirky, we didn't have access to all areas but it felt warm and welcoming. The staff were helpful knowledgeable and friendly. Will go back again. Possibly in the warmer months to use the roof terrace. It's just behind the castle in the grass market

A estas alturas, y después de ver un cine (O teatro), o un banco reconvertido en restaurante, ver todo un edificio con todo el aire de una iglesia aún me dejó perplejo. Un edificio con una frontal preciosa, llena de flores en ascenso hacia la pequeña torre. Y dentro, un local limpio, agradable, bien ambientado, con personal cortes y atento. Un montón de tiradores de cerveza disponibles para tomarse una pinta, y también ves salir alimentos entre los que destacan las pizzas, que tenían muy buena pinta. Una lástima el no haber podido estar el día que anunciaban pollo asado a la cerveza. Otra vez será.
