DISGUSTING SMELLY SCHOOL WITH LIARS, AND BAD TEACHERS!!!!!! AND BAD ADMINISTRATORS! THEY ARE VERY BAD AT HANDLING ISSUES, THEY DO NOT GIVE FAIR OPPORTUNITY WHEN KIDS ARE IN TROUBLE, BULLYING IS A HUGE ISSUE DUE TO THEIR LACK OF TAKING CARE OF PROBLEMS! THEY TELL YOU THINGS TO MAKE YOU EXCITED AND GET PREPARED TO GO TO THIS SCHOOL, BUT THEY JUST OUTRIGHT LIE TO YOU ABOUT WHAT THEY PROMISE YOU! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PARENT'S OPINION, LET ALONE THE STUDENTS OPINION, EVEN IF THE PARENTS AND STUDENTS ARE BLATANTLY IN THE RIGHT!

Bullying will not be tolerated. Biggest lie I have ever heard, I'm glad I left that horrible school years ago. Mostly I had the bullies mostly Asian students but they were favoured by the teachers and if you said anything they played the race card so that's how the Asian students got away with the bullying. The biggest bullies of them all were the staff especially that Mrs hex who went round frightening the younger girls especially me who couldn't stand up for themselves she was a nasty piece of work glad I'm not there anymore. If I have kids I won't be sending them to this horrid school that for sure.

I have messaged the school a number of times regarding issues that I have had. Seeing as the school is very close to where I live and I do not drive anymore due to ill health, I felt it reasonable to contact this school in the first instance. Not only am I a published author, but I am also a resolute campaigner on a number of issues. I even have a background in education, before other issues intervened. I offer help & support to the Labour MP, Ian Byrne and his wonderful REAL TRUTH LEGACY PROJECT and his desire for the Hillsborough Tragedy being placed on the National Curriculum. This is an ongoing fight. Like Ian Byrne, I am a Hillsborough Survivor, which is Britain's worst ever sporting disaster. I have also battled PTSD, and written two books on Hillsborough. To talk about this major tragedy is key for young people to know about what happened on that dark day, and since. Sadly, Sir John Thursby do not seem inclined to make contact with me. Not even a returning email, or a phone call. Absolutely shocking. I can fully understand other reviewers frustrations with the school, given their experiences.There needs to be some action taken, and some kind of desire to rid the school of this blind ignorance.

i went to school here, they don't take bullying seriously they say they will sort the issue and they tell us not to worry but nothing gets done their food makes my brother and y7 sister sick all the time

Even though it's been years since I left Sir John Thursby, I feel like I need to share my experience. Most staff played favouritism. My year was full of bullies. Even though some staff members knew that I was a victim of bullying, they chose not to take action. Come on I was given a medal of being the most annoying at the end for year 11. I wish I could re due my time at high school and stand up for myself because no one else would. Here is a message to those that get bullied, stand up and defend yourselves. Don't let the bullies win. The staff don't take severe act nor do the the bullies stop. A few staff members were amazing and understanding. If you have anyone that's by your side, tell to them cause sometimes bullies take it too far and you need an adult at times. I was bullied for 5 years at this school and I honestly hated my years at high school. It affected my studying and grades. Teachers need to be supporting and understanding and don't turn a blind eye to those that need help!!. I'm a stronger person now but I do wish I had the help I needed back then.

Great college I am really happy for my kids
