I just want to say a massive thanks to the team, I just purchased a bike from them and they were brilliant there was no pressure selling and all questions were easily answered, the bike was mint and was advertised exactly how it was and absolutely faultless, they even carried out a oil change for my own piece of mind. Where to start with these rouge traders upon passing my motorbike test i went straight to speed motorcycles as its close to my house. i entered the dealership and was met with sub-par bikes at crazy prices as i made my way swiftly out the shop i saw a bike and just fell straight in love ! I HAD TO HAVE IT yes it was overpriced but i wasn't leaving intill it was mine ! the condition was i would say (good) not amazing but far better than 80% of there other bikes they had in. after purchasing the bike i picked it up say 3 days later. i rode the bike around 12 miles home and noticed the breaks was non-existent i thought there new pads they will get better with time/use ......... yeah that never happened i took the bike to another bike shop (bridge motorcycles) to see what the problem was only to be met with a health check of the bike needing new brake pads new rear brake rotas and the bloody head race bearing is shot ! i expect this from buying second hand bike private not a dealership !!! if you buy from this company make sure you do all the correct checks before buying as i didn't wished i never set foot in this place

Visited Speed Superbikes again today on Exeter and again the staff were friendly and welcoming even though I'm still just browsing at this stage. Lovely mixture of motorcycles.

I would like to say that speed have been wonderful to buy from! Very helpful staff and I find them to be accommodating. They look after their customers in the clothing side of things(mark) and the bike side as well (Shane). I traded in my bike on a part exchange and the offer was good!! They are a reasonable bunch and I will be definitely buying from them again in the near future….Highly recommend!

Worn and damaged items on vehicle that should have been picked up on .before sale completion were not. So poor inspection from workshop.Would not buy from them again..

All went very well, great selection of nicely presented motorcycles. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, no pressure to buy...I purchased a Kawasaki W650, very happy with the whole experience, followed by an excellent ride home to Cornwall. Many thanks Shane for a seamless purchase.

Don’t shop here unless you have some technical knowledge otherwise you may be burned like me.It seems pleasant at first, I went in to trade in a 21 Plate MT125 and the team seemed very helpful at first. They let me sit on the bike I wanted (2015 SV650S) but this is as good as it got.When I came back a week later to exchange the bikes the manager had a rant to my friends about the “condition” of my MT125 that I brought it stating that because it had a dry chain they will have to replace it and they made a comment about how I need to look after this bikes chain properly.2K A few hundred miles later I got a nail in my tyre, though luck but that happens. I emailed Speed asking for a quote but never got a response, so I went to Bridge motorcycles. After getting the tyre fitted, they also threw in a few health checks. What they discovered angered me to say the least.Front & rear brake pads where completely gone with the rear brake disc being below the minimum limit and grooved to hell, £261 Inc labour to replace.The head race bearing was notched and needed to be replace £238.15 Inc labour,The front & rear sprocket was damaged, and I needed those two and the chain replaced (after how rude they where about my bike this made me laugh. £476.89 Inc labour to replace.Since I didn’t have this much upfront to fix, I was able to replace the front brake pads. The chain & sprockets myself for a total of £130.93 but was unable to do the head race bearing or the rear break pad & rear break disk due to some stuck bolts.Last week I saved up to get the head race bearing and I got another free health check on the bike and now the swing arm bearings & the lower shock bearings are gone on the bike and will cost me £471.46 to fix.In less than a year I have spent £665 on this bike (not including cost of the tyres & other service items such as oil, filters ETC) and I have another bill for £471.46, By my first MOT for this bike I would have spent over £1K on maintenance on this bike with more issues undoubtedly still not discovered yet. This wouldn’t matter if I got the bike cheap, but I probably spent over 2X the amount I needed to as I thought it would be safer to get the bike thought a dealer and I liked that it was local.TLDR: Unless you are mechanically inclined and know what you are looking for do not shop at speed and you could be sold a heap of scrap metal dressed up as a motorcycle.
