Wigginton Carboot

I've been twice this year, but there was not much variety lots of the same type of stuff.And not that many stalls.

Better than the racecourse as there are more normal sellers rather than old professional car boot sellers trying to sell toys at silly money to young kids or antiques that they got from a house clearance so worth paying a quid to get in, also it's cheaper by £7 than the racecourse, so at £8 for your car it's not too pricey. Recommended!

Always a good car boot, still in the traditional way without too many dealers, mostly private sellers

The organisation of car parking was terrible ! Everyone was squashed into the entrance end of the field and less space than usual to set our stalls out. At 11 am to 12 , sellers started to leave the site by driving through the crowds of people and a toddler was lucky not to have been run over ! . ... There are no EXIT signs to direct sellers a safe exit from the site away from the crowds of buyers . This is a Health and safety issue please resolve it .*******UPDATE *** 1st JULY 2023 .WE HAVE HAD 3 MORE CARBOOT SALES SINCE THE ABOVE POST.... it has improved and all our concerns have been resolved... we had 3 profitable carboots in May & June.

Busy boot. Bargains everywhere.Katies Kakes , wonderful selection of very tempting items. The chocolate brownie easily the best I have ever tried.Easy to find. Lots of parking.

Really my first experience of a carboot sale. So the 4 stars is for the setting, orderly layout and generally a pleasent atmosphere. Arrived via the number 40 bus from York. For cars it can be a bit of a wait as it's single file and 1 quid for entry. Pedestrians 40p. Then again leaving there is a long queue by 12pm. I'd suggest arrive early like 8am and leave by 1130 if I was travelling by car. Ample parking space by the way. No troubles there.

Lots of private buyers selling, how can I put this politely, well used stuff that you would probably never need. That said, you can find the occasional gem. Lots of stuff for children, particularly toys.

First time ever that i have done a carboot and was pleased by how easily i flogged stuff.would deffo go back if i have more unwanted stuff.only issue i found is that they need to clearly mark where to patk if selling as i ended up in buyer parking at first.

Nice big car boot, has coffee/ food for sale. Cheap to get in still. Good for a wander on a Sunday. Plenty of variety and a decent fruit and veg stall normally.
