Amazing farm shop! So much local produce and lovely gifts. Staff there are very friendly and helpful.We will be visiting again for breakfast! The oat milk chai was delicious. :)

The quality of the food here is absolutely outstanding. A brilliant range of food and drink options for all, including children.There is a simple form to fill in for Covid-19 tracing purposes, plentiful space indoors plus a walled gazebo space outside too. If the weather is warm enough, there are plenty of benches and picnic benches to enjoy the well maintained grounds.Now, back to the food. You can really tell that a lot of thought and feeling has been put into the menu combinations - all of which are made/produced locally at the farm. We'll most definitely be back and would recommend a stop off if you're in the area. It's also well worth travelling for. Honestly, seriously...you must.

7 years since our last visit. And it won't be 7 years again. Absolutely fantastic and unreal place. Nothing comes close to this place.7 years for your BLT, and it hasn't disappointed. It's as good as the 2 I had last time

We went here as a group of 40 on a sad occasion. The staff couldn’t have been better! They went out of their way to provide the highest standard of their farm’s bread, cheeses, charcuterie and cakes. Truly excellent homemade quality and it included a variety of gluten-free items.The shop is filled with high quality organic food and drinks as well as wellness products & great crafts, many made at Loch Arthur. It is a social enterprise, a community of around 80 people including 28 with learning disabilities. All work together, using different skills which are considered to be the same job level, as they recognise everyone’s interdependence.Highly recommended for a meal, household and gift shopping, or just a nice cup of tea in beautiful surroundings.

What a lovely lovely place. A great community service first and foremost. Some great food on offer at the farm shop and the cafe serves up hearty warming goodness and top cakes. I had the soup and sandwich offering. After a 10 mile hike in freezing temperatures it could not have been better. Wonderful.A lovely relaxed atmosphere from the staff and some chap was singing to himself (tune unknown) in the kitchen. Which made me laugh. The place is run with love. There should be more cafes like this.

A hidden gem in Dumfries! :0Others said the coffee was wonderful, along with the fresh desserts they offer.Luckily I tried the waffles because they were to die for!!Natural honey and delicious ice cream was added to perfectly fluffy waffles.If you are nearby please have a pop in you won’t regret it.Waffle/100

Yes, it's pricey but oh! It's sooooo good. Lovely, lovely food for sale and some very pretty things too. Well worth a visit, buy some cheese and try something new. A covered terrace for people with dogs to have a coffee/lunch would be nice, and the fish van to visit a bit more often...

This is a marvellous shop and restaurant. The food is locally sourced from their own farm. The people all help on the farm or in the shop and all have disabilities. It's a brilliant place, wonderful meat and cheese and other products.

The owner of a property we were staying at in Southerness recommended this spot, so we gave it a try. The menu has some amazing veggie & vegan dishes, and they made our coffee & hot chocolate with oat milk too.The shop is amazing too, I could have spent a fortune.I'm so please we received the recomnendation as its definitely worth visiting.
