The Framing Workshop

Incredibly offensive experience. The shop manager was repetitively rude, and refused to take any responsibility of his mistake. He shows no interest in customer service, even in normal circumstances where no conflict exists.He hung up on me several times when speaking on the phone. The first instance, I called to see if by chance my picture might be ready a day before - without asking which picture or showing any interest, he said no and hung up. This is a small picture, so it's not unusual to ask a day before (6th day) if the picture might be framed.After the picture was collected, I phoned because they got the mount completely wrong. As I was travelling to gift the picture to someone, I could not bring the picture back. I was passed on to the shop manager who did not apologise, did not show any interest in taking responsilibity for his mistake, and did not show any interest in helping me find a solution. He basically said my only option is to bring the picture back for him to fix for free, AND THEN HE HUNG UP.I expected a partial refund for the mount at least, which only costs 9£!!! Instead I got treated like dirt for absolutely no reason whatsoever. There is no need for this type of interaction at all - completely needless, as if the shop manager takes any engagement with functioning adults as an affront to his person. As a customer trying to engage with someone trying to run a business, I was stunned.For the sake of saving 9£, you have lost hundreds of pounds from me. Once arrived at my destination, I had to find a different framer to change the mount - you basically got me to pay for a mount which just ended up in the bin.

Very good range of frames, fast service and decent pricing. And local!

This place is great. Take no notice of the negative comments. The guy is direct and to the point, but the quality of the work is fantastic. We don’t go anywhere else. I’ve always had great customer service. And extremely reasonably priced. You get ruder staff in asda and Tesco!

I don't agree with any of the negative comments regarding the owners communication skills at all. We are all different with different levels of communication skills and in this day and age I would have thought that people would understand that not all disabilities are visible (be it mental or physical). I am getting a frame for a picture, not buying a house so for me I am not really interested in shop front social skills. I found the framer to be very efficient, to the point with no BullS. I wish more people were like that. Frames were excellent quality and a great price but please don't judge people simply because they are not jumping up and down with joy because you walked through their door.

I’ve used this business for many years as has my father (an artist), and the quality of work is always exceptional. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I’ve read some of the reviews here about the rudeness of someone in the shop. I wouldn’t say rude. I’d say direct. And I certainly wouldn’t let it put me off using a great local business.
