Really accommodating and friendly bunch, did a great job taking both of my girls out for an extended walk. Good price too!

Much prefer Hall Place. Friendliest place I've ever visited and entirely child friendly. Much nicer/professional set up too. Would not visit again

The horses from the stables here destroy the path, whatever time of year, ruining it for everyone else, making it impassible by foot of cycle. Instead people have to use the busy road which has no path beside it, making it a very dangerous and unpleasant alternative. It seems to be kept wet (so muddy and soft), so horses won't twist their ankles on the hard dried lumpy ground, as it's been the ONLY wet ground anywhere, when everywhere else is bone dry & dusty.

Brilliant stables. Have been riding here a couple of years now and I've been so impressed. I've ridden at a range of schools and kept my pony on livery at a few yards, and Palmers is by far the best stables I've found. The staff have the most equine-centred attitude I've come across - the horses live out in a herd environment, and are brought into a loose box shortly before they're needed, and tacked up at the last minute (other stables bring horses in early, tie up and tack up hours in advance) and unless they're needed shortly after horses are turned out after being ridden. Older horses are worked according to their ability and no more, and then kept in honourable retirement. I'm really comfortable riding there.Also, they have a great range of horses and ponies, from 'typical' riding school to much more challenging and responsive. Plus, the hacking is gorgeous - an hour's hack can offer a multitude of possibilities (all with several canters) through beautiful countryside. The outdoor school is decent (one long side can get quite wet after a lot of heavy rain but riding an inner track isn't hard) and there are plenty of blocks and poles available.Cannot recommend highly enough.

I'm an adult who rode often as a young adult but lost the time, and finally went to return to the joy of riding. I've been to a few different stables and I know it's surprisingly rare to have both happy/healthy horses and a supportive staff. I absolutely love this stable, all the instructors and all the different horses have been wonderful. Take your child, but try some lessons for yourself, better than any gym.

I came here for a few lessons as a complete novice adult rider. It is one of the few places that can cater for people over 12 stone in weight in the area and is very reasonably priced for lessons. It may not have the best appearance but the horses all appeared in good health with nice friendly staff.

Lovely friendly staff, horses well looked after and happy. Stable yard is very tidy and well kept. Have booked in again with Natalie, very patient teacher for someone returning to riding after a couple of years break. Also Ginette was very friendly on my arrival. Would recommend.

I have been having lessons here for the last 8 weeks. It is the highlight of my week. The staff are lovely and they adore their horses. Good job well done.
