The whole team are always friendly and helpful in the cycle section upstairs but Arwin in particular will always go above and beyond. It’s rare to enjoy the retail experience these days but people like Arwin and the team buck this trend. Several very satisfied visits in the past couple of months

Jo working upstairs in the bicycle department of the Exeter Branch of Halfords, has been the most amazing help for me and my 4 year old son. She has helped support my son by showing and advising him on how to cycle, raised his bike seat and handle bars to the perfect height and also placed his new peppa pig bell onto the handle bars. She has also advised me on how to support my son in using his bike. Most lovely, professional and kind person, I would recommend her support to anyone who needs advise.Thank you Jo.

Put the wrong battery in my car twice!! Very young lads most likely on minimum wage doing the work on cars.... not surprisingly mistakes are being made. Never again.

Had a reversing camera fitted to my vehicle today. The item was on sale and to my surprise when I ordered it online there was a further 10% off which was a nice surprise. The fitter at the Exeter Rydon Lane Store called Gary is very knowledgeable, offering me additional advice on a tricky retro fit item I have had trouble getting information on with Audi main dealers. He fitted the camera no issues at all. He had to pull out all the seats and rear boot trim to fit the reversing camera. He did this no problem and left everything tidy and clean. The camera is mounted discreetly and all the wiring tucked away neatly. Very happy with the fitting price considering what was required I think £100 is more than fair, that also included a wiring voltage changer otherwise it would have been £80. The fitter Gary deserves a pay rise he works very hard and is knowledgeable in his craft. Take note Halfords I had to travel to Exeter as Newton Abbot have no fitter. Probably because they don’t pay them enough. All in all happy with the price for the camera and the service provided by Halfords.

Brilliant service today at this Halfords, Will was seconds away from going on his lunch break but stopped and made every effort to give fantastic service, advising me and my partner on tips for our pending mechanical work/servicing queries we have for our Mercedes Sprinter campervan. He couldn't have been more helpful, we're complete novices on the subject and in need of good advice and his help today really put our minds at ease with our next steps. The guy who served us (didn't catch his name but he did have a fabulous beard and glasses) At the till was also ace, helped us select the right engine oil and gave great advice and super friendly service. Not your average high street chain. Really impressed and will definitely be getting our service done here because of our experience today! Thank you Will and friendly bearded man! You're both great and deserve the recognition.

I had a flat battery and ended up going to Halfords Rydon lane to get it installed. Chris installed it and he asked me more questions than 2 RAC recovery drivers. Chris checked my alternator before we changed the battery as sometimes it's the alternator not charging the battery - RAC never bothered to check that on my car before they used a battery pack to start it. The battery was 30 pounds cheaper than RAC through Halfords fully installed- halfords charge 18 pounds for installation. I got better service from Chris( battery installer) from Halfords than from my paid Roadside service membership through RAC. Halfords do a massive range also of car accessories like bulbs, wiper blades, car stereo systems, car oils and coolants and then an entire floor dedicated to bikes and bike servicing. Well worth going in here if you need most things relating to auto accessories- well done you guys. You can pre book for your battery to be installed but i just turned up and Chris changed it on the spot. Happy motoring days!

I had lost my front number plate on my way to London. Carl the member of staff that served me was great, initially we thought that the only documentation they could take was a V5, however after explaining my situation, Carl decided to see if there was anything else they could accept to purchase the number plate. After a bit of searching he found we could use alternative documentation that I had available and I was able to buy the number plate and continue with my journey. That’s customer service. Others would have turned me away claiming they could only do it with something I didn’t have on me. However Carl put in the extra time and work to find a solution which I really really appreciated. Thank you.

Car issues this morning - managed to get car up to Halfords at Rydon Lane. Cannot fault the service. Connor was fantastic - he checked battery and then checked with another colleague. He also asked me to wait as another colleague was coming in who might be able to advise - think this was Gaz. Both were so supportive. Issue remained but they were so helpful. Thank you.
