If your looking to buy something special on holiday, part of the pleasure is choosing and stretching out the experience. We wanted a new watch and the proprietors had no trouble showing us lots of watches, trying them on and discussing all the features. We chatted and in general had a very pleasant time. To top it off they gave us a cracking deal. Really just about the best service I've had anywhere.

Whilst in Ambleside on holiday I took a very special friend into Horseman's to buy her a ring for her birthday.It was a fantastic shopping experience. The owner had all the time in the world for her, explaining the different rings and mounts and using his experience to guide her... and noticeably, not towards the most expensive one but rather, the best one for her.The ring required resizing which was done in a couple of days and they even stayed open late so we could collect it before the big day.It's a lovely ring with a great memory attached to it.Couldn't recommend them enough.

Absolutely fantastic service here, I’d give the shop 10 stars if I could.Popped in one morning on a day trip to Ambleside looking for a wedding band. Not only were they able to accommodate at a very reasonable price, they also sized up and finished a blank on the same day and it’s absolutely gorgeous.Nigel went above and beyond to provide fantastic service, definitely pop in if you’re looking for any jewellery or other bits for your home (there were some lovely decorative pieces and a good selection of pens).

We bought our wedding rings from Horsmans while we were on holiday in Ambleside. Nigel was so helpful, offering to engrave them both and clean my wife-to-be's engagement ring too! He made what can be a nerve-wracking (and expensive!) experience really easy, and sent them out to us without any problems. I would recommend them to anyone.

Amazing service for my watch, that had some defect after one year of wearing. Bought it during my vacation there, but after one year the watch had some problems with the clockwork.Although I brought it as a tourist and probably will never purchase anything again from that store, they told me to just return the watch and now I got a brand new one. I am really glad that I bought it there. Thank You!
