Magheroarty Ferry

Magheroarty is a port for the Tory Island ferry.It has a great beach which jutts out in to the Atlantic like an island with water either side of the dunes. It is really long and quite popular with surfers as well. A great family beach during the summer without a doubt.There is ample parking in one of three lots and a cafe which is open at peak times during the summer months but can be rather unpredictable so don't rely on it.There is a fresh water tap available next to the cafe and toilet facilities. There is also a hookup for campers with power, water and waste disposal though I think you need to buy a voucher to fully avail of it.Part of the Atlantic Way and well worth a visit.
