Ilkley Dental Practice

Today was Mine and my childrens first visit to ilkley dental practice.It is a welcoming environment, so clean and spacious.Our dentist Atika and dental nurse Harriet, we're so amazing. They put us all at ease straight away, so good with the kids and even though I have struggled with dentist and my teeth in the past, they made me feel so much better.I cannot recommend them enough!Thank you so so much.See you again soon!

I had an appt today with the Practice Dental Hygienist ( Asif ) for a damaged front tooth filling following a fall. I was impressed with how careful + thoughtful he was. He took great care throughout.

Waste of time not to mention money, paid £25 for 3 minutes to be told something I already knew, the only point of this pre appointment is make more money.. not really NHS is it, ...?

A friendly, respectful reception team set the tone the moment you walk through the door. Jane, the dentist, continued the trend with a very professional assessment, explaining every aspect of her findings in a clear, precise manner leaving me in no doubt that I was in competent hands. Having recommended a repair to a chipped molar and a thorough scale and polish, the very next day, Asif and his assistant Andrea set about the task. Here the depth of experience and skill really shone through. No pain, no unsightly bleeding, just calm attention to every detail…….and all on the NHS. What more is there to say, but “Exceptional” in every department.

Terrible! On two occasions I have been dropped by this dentist with no warning. I have booked time off work to go to an appointment to be emailed on the same day the booking has been cancelled. If i cancelled an appointment i would be charged. Its poor service. I will be looking for another dentist. My advice - look for another practice.

Good dental care and so helpful to be under the care of one dentist. Hygienist referral at previous visit was helpful.Four stars only rather than 5 as today was the first time the dentist has informed me specifically that I have 'gum disease' and I would have preferred to have been told that diagnosis earlier, rather than simply being referred for relevant treatment. Previously I had been told that I need to improve my oral hygiene...but not why.

I went to visit the new dentist at this practice. She immediately shoved an xray strip in my mouth and took the first set of pictures before asking my permission. She did not make me feel comfortable or relaxed, ( normally I feel great with a dentist). She did my examination and told me I needed a filling. Three days later, first one tooth broke and then another. I was surprised as I had never has a broken tooth before and none of this was mentioned at my checkup or picked up. I tried to book an appointment for a crown, eventually three weeks later I was seen today. When I questioned the dentist about my previous treatment and why these problems hadn't been picked up idn at my first checkup. She told me she was no longer prepared to treat me as my questioning showed i was not happy with her. I was desperate for my appointment today and ad been terrified for the weeks running up to it that more of my tooth would break.I have never met such a high- handed woman. Up to this point I have always had very good relations with my dentist. Needless to say I have moved to another dental practice.I am posting on behalf of my son. The practice and previously as Genisis has cancelled at least 6 of his appointment in the last 18 months. Hopeless.
