Car parking opposite, very secure with card access gates, discount given in hotel reception cost less than £4 overnight, computer check in on arrival. Nice bar and attentive staff. The room was clean and tidy, and bed was comfortable. Breakfast is £10 and was very nice. It is located in the city centre so easy walk to bars and restaurants.

Good budget hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful. Normal WiFi is slow but you can upgrade. Lack of USB charging points. Parking is directly across the road in the Assembly Rooms Car Park. Currently £4-50 for 24 hours, less 17% discount if ticket is validated at reception. Overall clean, comfortable and good value. Ideally located for the town centre

The location of this hotel is really good - its in the centre of Derby so walking distance from pubs, restaraunts, shops etc. There is a cinema pretty much next door to the car park which we went to and was really nice. The car park is opposite the hotel and cost us £6.50ish for a day and a half of parking - ask at the hotel and they put 20% discount on your parking. The car park is very secure but abit tight getting up the ramps if you have a big car. You pay at the machines before you leave. The hotel itself is nice and modern and it was quiet when we were there (on a Saturday night). The only negative is its not as sound proof between the rooms as the other premier inns we have stayed at - we could hear upstairs walking around, using the shower etc. But saying this we would still stay here again. Would recommend if you need a clean, convenient place to stay in Derby.

CARD CLONED AT THIS HOTEL!! DO NOT USE!! Staff very friendly. Rooms are clean. Bar is fine. Breakfast is good value. Most the most modern of premier inns but still fine. Parking is dead opposite hotel and is only £3.80 for 24 hours if you get the card validated at reception.

Great location for our visit. Right next to the shops and restaurants. The car park opposite does have good security, by way of, if you don't have your ticket, you cannot get it, however, the stairs are disgustingly smelly and need a deep clean. Signage for the floors at one end are just not there, you can get a discount for the car park if you ask at reception, this was not offered, we had to ask. The hotel is just like any other Premier Inn. We had a disabled room, very spacious, but there was a horrible musty and unpleasant smell. There was only one towel in the room on arrival, no hand towel etc and no shower floor towel and the loo roll dispenser was not topped up, but reception rectified this immediately. This is one of the hotels where you cannot open the windows and we had issues with our air con/heating, it just wouldn't work. Myself and Lyle spent about 45 mins at around 11.30pm checking the trip switches etc and through persistence Lyle got it going, so thumbs up to him. We were in another Premier Inn in Barnsley the night before and we also had a issue with the heating, it seems that trip switches at various places trip out in Premier Inns, because its one of the main issues I come across when staying in them. We had pizza and wine in the evening in the restaurant and both were very nice.

I arrived an hour early for check in as my company booked the room. Reception confirmed a room was ready but would cost £10 more to check in before 3pm. Even though the room is ready and it literally wouldn’t cost them any more to check me in, they won’t check me in unless I pay extra. I’d rather sit in reception than pay, just out of principle. They do not have their own parking so must use the multi story car park opposite, which does not have any working lifts, they have big steel barriers where the doors used to be, so you have to carry your luggage down multiple flights of stairs. Definitely won’t be staying here again, very poor service, the nearby Marstons is much better and just as comfortable.

Simple premier Inn. Comfy beds friendly staff and nice breakfast only downside was the windows didn't open so had to cool the room down with the air con but would still stay here again

Would I book again ? NO , Would i recommend staying? NO, I stayed at the derby premier inn cathedral Quarter on the 8th July 2023 , upon checking in I had to wait 30 mins for them to get the key card working , air conditioning in the room was broken and it was stuck on 24 degrees so I felt like I was in the Bahamas all night as that’s how hot it was in the room as they don’t have windows that you can open, Room Service is appalling when you call the front desk for any assistance they will never pick the phone up , Avoid !!

Great little PI in Derby City Centre. Not fantastic view opposite a car park, but the blackout curtains did the job. Bed was very comfortable and towels soft. Staff very attentive and gave great friendly service. Recommended

Thank you to all the staff at Derby City Centre (Cathedral Quarter) hotel. Especially Mark and Lyle for their excellent service and support. They went the 'extra mile' to ensure we had a really enjoyable stay. We can't recommend this Premier in enough and we look forward to staying again.
