Creative Support

This for me is a fantastic place which I can not recommend enough. Last year I was referred to the service and although my initial meeting was delayed, due to serious issues with a landlord, they happily booked me another appointment and since then we have interacted in multiple ways such as through groups, private support sessions, phonecalls and feedback requests. The groups are sometimes focused obviously on wellbeing and others not so obviously so such as the walking group which of course although simple in nature is good for both body and mind potentially. Staff are very patient and understanding and work to understand everyone's individual needs. Although there is no such thing as perfection it is hard to think of any negative experiences. I have watched carefully how they interact with other service users and I have noticed the patience and careful guiding they utilise to manage difficult situations. I think truly a lot of professionals working with vulnerable people could learn from watching how the staff interact with people: including the humorous times as building a good rapport is so important while maintaining healthy boundaries. I wish that there were more services like Creative Support. For me the support has been invaluable as well as the opportunities to build community links.
