Red Welly is just a perfect 'getaway from it all' type of place. We recently stayed for a family members 40th birthday. It is just beautiful. We swam in the sea (in October), drank in the shepherd's hut at night with the log burner going, had bbqs, beach fires, kayaked, did it all, couldn't fault the place! Wonderful

This idyllic spot near Caernarfon was the best place to spend our first week away for over a year. 3 separate but equally beautiful cottages, set up really thoughtfully to allow large family parties to spend time together and apart. The most beautiful garden and site including a perfect beach and outdoor dining - couldn't have wished for a better spot to end lockdown. Thank you.

Very good houses and great views of sea. Not that long walking distance. in a nice sea. Lots of space in accommodation. Only improvement is to clean and hoover the house before guest come because there were ALOT of Spiders.

I was just skimming the reviews as we're looking forward to another stay at Red Welly next year. We've been several times with our three children and their families. I see a review from someone who scored only one out of five. How anyone could rate this place, and the investment in conservation below 5 out of 5 defeats me! With respect to her, whoever Catherine is, she clearly hasn't seen how the owners conserve, what they ask of renters and how much effort they make each year. If that reviewer really is a 'passer by', all she can see from the footpath alongside the very busy road is a gated entrance!!!! If she walks the beach side, she can't even see the property! Anyone who writes a review needs to show respect for accuracy. Julie, you run a great facility!

An isolated, beautiful, rustic and well crafted site, with everything you could need to get away from it all.So many memories made with the family here.

This place is magical. Everything is done so well, to a.beey high specification and all your needs for an amazing holiday are catered for. It is just beautiful.

We normally take an extended family break every year. Work patterns of grandchildren now dictate that these holidays take place during spring/autumn. Typically, we have selected accommodation with a high specification of provision – heated swimming pool, hot tub etc. Red Welly does not have any such ‘luxury’ provision, but what is provided is of a very high standard. What other accommodation cannot supply is the idyllic setting and the eye for detail that made our week so relaxing and enjoyable.Although we had planned excursions to nearby places of interest, the site and situation of Red Welly is so attractive that we spent the whole of our time there. The dog enjoyed the freedom provided by the ten acre site and we loved walking to the beach each day and exploring the seashore. Everything that we needed was provided in the cottages and mill and the welcome pack was of the highest quality – the Victoria Sponge, in particular, was the best that any of us had ever tasted. When we had a problem (failure of a back up battery in a hard-wired smoke alarm) it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the owners.Altogether, this was the perfect remedy to the months of Covid isolation and we all returned home relaxed and refreshed. Will we return to Red Welly and the smell of freshly baked home-made pizza from the wood fired pizza oven? You bet we will!
