Over Barn

Absolutely gorgeous venue, it’s authentic and rustic. We had our wedding here recently and everyone was blown away! Huge thank you to Sam and all the team for making it such a wonderful day.

We had our wedding reception at Over Barn in August and it was just perfect. Sam was great to work with and was friendly and helpful throughout. We loved that we could make the barn our own and choose how we decorated. Staff at the venue on the day were all really helpful and friendly and so many of our guests commented on what a great venue it is. We had the relaxed wedding we wanted and were able to put our own touches on everything to make it even more special. There are also some lovely spots in and around the Barn for photos. We would definitely recommend Over Barn!

It's difficult to put into words how incredible our wedding was and how happy we are with everything Over Barn did for us. It really was the perfect day! The entire team were incredibly friendly, helpful and made everyone feel so welcome and friendly. We go to Barn on the Farm every year so it is a very special place for us. The barn is the most beautiful place to get married and we'd recommend it to anyone. Krista did an amazing job of our flowers (the most beautiful we've ever seen) and decorating the barn- she performed magic!! Also we'd like to give a shout to Josh and the catering team- it is by far the most delicious food we've ever eaten at a wedding and they catered so well for our many dietary requirements including fully vegan BBQ salads upon our request! Thank you so much!Thank you all for giving us the best day we could imagine. ❤️

We got married at Over Barn this July and had the best day! We were so so pleased with the venue and would hugely recommend it.We were looking for somewhere with a laid-back, outdoorsy feel that would give us the flexibility to plan a relaxed, festival-style wedding, and we were so delighted when we found Over Barn, it was perfect! We imagined most of the day being outdoors but wanted somewhere where we had a good indoor option too, in case of bad weather. In the end Over Barn was absolutely ideal for this. We had all weathers in one day, including a thunderstorm, but the covered areas all around the courtyard meant that we managed to stay mostly outside - exactly as we hoped!We opted for a bbq rather than a formal sit down meal, and it was lovely to have a venue manager who was easy-going enough to accommodate our ideas and not pressure us into formal seating plans or doing things in the 'usual way!'We had the ceremony indoors and the barn was an absolutely beautiful setting for this, as well as later in the evening for dancing!Our guests loved the skittles alley and meeting the farm animals. Lots of us camped, so it was ideal to have the campsite just 100m away from the venue! It was also amazing to have such a rural feeling venue so close to Gloucester - meaning it was ideal for any guests getting the train and for people to find accommodation easily.All of the staff were wonderful! Sam, the venue manager was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us during set-up and on the day. All the bar staff were wonderful too, and we'd definitely recommend using Over Farm's caterers - the bbq they did for us was incredible and again they were so lovely and easy to communicate with (we'll write a full review on their page!).We're so glad we found Over Barn, and would really recommend it! We booked over barn as our wedding venue over 2 years ago. Our big day was June 10th.Firstly for the staff, throughout the whole prepping process/ lead up to the wedding Sam and his team were amazing, always there to offer advice and answer my many questions. On the wedding weekend, we had so much help and guidance. Krista was a star with helping with decor and Sam was amazing at directing where aisle would be best placed and to fully walk us through the day (also offered lots of help regarding the potential rain that was looming). Josh was fab with advice regarding afternoon tea set up.As for the venue, there aren't that many words to describe it other than it was absolutely beautiful. The barn was so stunning without our decor, but it came to life and fully met and exceeded our expectations when we ad added our little touch. The surrounding farm/wooded area meant we were able to have such amazing photos. We had tonnes of lawn games out the front, as well as the skittle alley, as well as more than enough space for our fish and chip van. Inside was wonderful and spacious enough for our 97 guests to sit and had plenty of room as well for some barn dancing in the evening.Anyone who wants the most perfect wedding in the most picturesque setting, over barn is for you.

Over Barn was a warm, welcoming anew friendly venue from the start of our planning, through our wedding day and even after celebrations ended. The barn was beautiful, staff very helpful and the catering was superb. Lots of very lovely comments by guests and nothing was too much trouble for Sam, Josh and their colleagues. Even in the winter, we made the most of the outdoor area with the fire pit and pizza oven. Thank you to everyone at Over Barn!

Visited for the first time, for pumpkin picking.It was a really enjoyable evening, well thought through.Food was very goodGood atmosphere, the musician and fire eater were very good.
