July 1st...placed(no pun intended!) phone order....arrived 1 minute early and to the surprise of the rest of the queue we collected our lovely cod/ haddock and chips....excellent service and thoroughly enjoyed our meal!!I'll be back!

We’ve been here twice now. Lovely, quick service and great fish and chips. No skin on the fish which is my preference (unlike Tong’s which I can’t tolerate). Chips beautiful and crisp and very nice curry sauce. Best fish and chip shop in Corsham!

Arrogant owners and overpriced food. When querying the cost of a £1.90 gravy pot I was told that it was my fault for paying it as I should have checked the price on the board and not bought it if I didn't like it rather than discussing the cost of the item.I won't be going back, I'd suggest others avoid this deeply arrogant family outfit.

Great to have another chip shop open in corsham. Went on a Saturday evening and the food was great. The service was very quick, the food was hot and better than most chip shops locally. Young girl serving was particularly friendly and helpful. Great start for opening week.

First impressions very good, from cheerful staff to an air of excellent cleanliness.Food fantastic, battered crispy, definitely not greasy. Chips crisp and again not greasyWell wrapped, food still hot. when arrived home.Prices a wee bit pricer on some items, less on others ,that's compared to other local fish & chip shops. BUT SO WORTH IT..

My family and I really enjoyed our meals from The Codmother. The staff was helpful and gave us extremely generous portions of the cod and chips we ordered! The batter was light and crispy and the mushy peas have a slightly minty zing — delicious. We liked our meals so much that we visited twice while in Corsham! Highly recommend.

We had a reservation at a local Indian but no table was forthcoming after 15 minutes waiting so we gave up and came here. Service was very friendly and food was better than most other chippies I've been to. The Codmother saved our evening from being a dismal failure!

I've visited the Codmother twice now, and as a previous chip shop employee myself, I must say that this place is great. I've had lovely, tasty fish, good portions of chips, and the battered sausage isn't too bad either. Pricing is fair - yes, fish and chips isn't a cheap meal anymore- but they are very fairly priced given the current circumstances. Would certainly recommend! Can't wait to try a pea fritter next time!
