Had to pay for something I was told would be covered by insurance, disappointed.My cat had a skin condition and vet thought he needed a flea and worming (while he is already taking his routine flea and worming on time), this was additional and I was also told that this will be covered by insurance. Later they said I have to pay for it. Even though his skin condition was nothing to do with fleas.

You saved my Penny's life and for that I am eternally grateful. You showed great care and compassion. No amount of money is worth that, yet your prices remained so reasonable.Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

Awful vets. All they care about is money. My dog has three legs as it is and Nick tried to say my dog needed part of her paw removed!! Went to another vets to get a second opinion and all it was, was an infected claw that needed to be pulled out! Avoid if you love you're pets because Nick doesn't care!

I cannot praise the staff here enough. They really do all they can to keep your furry friends comfortable and loved throughout their stay overnight or after minor surgery. Everyone is so friendly, compassionate and always greet your pets with a little fuss and if lucky a little treat on arrival! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been using Thameswood purton branch for almost 3 years and they have been very good. Appointments are quick and good professional advice is provided at all times. Sadly our pet bunny Jenny passed away recently but they remained professional and sympathetic at all times. They wrote a card and prepared a memory box for which we are very grateful. Thank you to everyone :-)

I moved my dog here as he has never been a fan of the vet. It's always a stressful experience. But the fear free clinic run by Thameswood has worked miracles. In 4 sessions my dog will run into the building, happily go into the consultation room and be handled by the vet and still wag his tail. Still more work to do, but the time and effort the nurse puts in to making his visits fun and relaxed has been fantastic. I cannot rate this vet enough.

My dog went in for a loose tooth. I was away on holiday so the person looking after him took my dog to this vets. Not his usual vets but the closest to where my dog was staying. A bill of £1150 !!!! The vets took out 5 teeth , most of them small teeth at the bottom and without my consent or from the lady looking after my dog at the time. We have since returned from our holiday and questioned Thameswood Vets and the we have had a response today to accuse me of “neglecting my dog and that they wanted to get the RSPCA involved!!!! I literally couldn’t believe what i was reading as never would i wish to neglect my dog. They are extremely intent on mentioning this to back up the high vet bill surprise surprise. The vets had my email and contact details yet they never once contacted us to provide estimates of such a high cost or to raise any concerns with us with his well being, only now we have returned and questioned the treatment are they accusing us of neglect… he was treated March 16th and today is April 6th and so why has it taken all this time to tell me this. I love my dog dearly and can’t believe this vet’s would stoop so low to justify the high vet bill. Be very careful with using this vet’s as other reviews back my one up too! Wish he had be never been taken here.
