Stone Cross Medical Centre

All of my experiences with clerical staff up to the Providers have been kind and compassionate. I have had some complicated issues that has required a lot of untangling to get my name correct, my records, everything that could go wrong, has. The clerical staff had been nothing but knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. This is the second GP I've had here in UK and by far the best. The Providers take their time and I never feel rushed and always feel heard. I wish they had more appointment availability as it is always hard to get an appointment.

Called 2 days in a row bang on 8oclock. Took me 20 minutes to get through to be told all appointments had been taken up for the day. What in the last 20 minutes. Woman was very rude and snotty.. absolute joke needs closing down

I’m disgusted about this surgery what a disgrace went to register my cousins at this practice they are students first time in uk First Lady at reception gave me dirty look because the colour of my skin second she said sorry can’t accept students anymore call I’m tomorrow and talk with management I said both girls are really poorly and need doctors lady didn’t care and said call tomorrow there were 2 others patients there even they we’re laughing and muttering something because the colour of my skin how racist is this would not ever recommend this surgery to anyone because the colour of my skin and we were Asian girls they were giving me and my cousin’s dirty looks the lady behind the desk shouldn’t be even allowed to work behind the desk if she can’t even put smile on her face it stunk inside the surgery no wonder people get poorly my cousins have found much better doctors who have kept them on and lady at the doctors were happy to see the cousins lady behind the desk was worried about the girls and now booked in to see doctors the Stonecross surgery should be putting new lady’s behind desk who have manners and respectful and get cleaners into surgery too !! Rant over this Surgery should have 0 stars so disgusting

Appalling level of customer care & serviceMy 84 year old nan is regularly refused an appointment when ringing and told there are no appointments until the following month!!If you ring at 8am you can very rarely get through and when you do it's too late and the minimal slots they have are gone.The receptionists are nothing short of rude and unhelpful, they are trying there best to get you off the phone as quick as possible and never try to accommodate people who are in serious need.Granted their are probably people in worse condition but with my nan being 84 surely this should trigger a higher level of concern for her wellbeing.I have first hand seen the receptionists let the phone ring out to continue their social chatter and also witnessed the condescending way they speak to patients.I would urge anyone who can, to avoid this surgery or move elsewhere. 1 star is being generous.

I could write a list of negatives about this practice.My partner Waited 20 minutes with my Ill son only to be told come back later as we have no doctor.Receptionists here need to remember they are receptionists on minimum wage not qualified doctors.They also need to learn some manners.Doctors need to be regular.I would avoid this practice they are an absolute joke!

Not even worth a 1star! Needs to be closed down - never an appointment and my poor mother who is 79 has been told several times to go to the walk in centre at the hospital. I will be strongly recommending that my parents change doctors. To not be seen by their own doctor or a nurse for more than 3 months is a joke even when my mother has been in chronic pain. This surgery is a waste of time! I will be formally writing to the practice manager also to log an official complaint after the fiasco today. To all those who say it’s an excellent surgery and either lying or work in the NHS. The service is extremely poor, never can get an appointment, when you do they never want to refer or give you correct medication, unhelpful receptionist, with one of them believing she is a GP herself. Only left the one star because I had too. This is what we pay taxes towards. Wouldn’t recommend, this surgery unless you are elderly.

Doctors and nurses here are really good when you get through. The only person I would be wary of is the Indian woman who does the Asthma reviews. She ignored everything I said at a review ended up in hospital the same night, having a severe asthma attack, that needed 2 sessions of nebuliser and steroids. even the hospital doctors were shocked that I’d had an asthma review just 10 hour prior.

Could not be more thankful for our most recent contact with the surgery, Jeanette on reception was so kind, compassionate and so understanding! Dr Robinson was amazing too. There was another lady on reception we dealt with after the appointment who also gave a service second to none! I’m not some one that leaves reviews good or bad but on this occasion I felt the need to. Of course there are waiting times that’s just unfortunately the way of the world now not just this practice! Excellent. Thank you!

This surgery is utter shambles. 6 consecutive weeks I've been messed around for much needed injections, each and everytime my appointment has came around there's been something that's happened. They have no cover staff nor do they understand the needs of patients having to wait longer periods without medication. It's just a I'm sorry this has happened can you come in another 3 weeks, or book annual leave to do so.
