Parsons Bakery

Never in my life have I seen a sandwich that was 95% bread. I think most people would rather have an adequate amount of filling rather than super thick slices of bread. Also, who makes jam donuts with no sugar on? Very odd.

Great food and selection but the older lady (appears to be the boss) is incredibly rude. I wanted a decaffeinated cappuccino with oat milk, and 3 separate savory/sweet items but only told her the drink order to begin with (I didn't want to overwhelm her). She tells me how much the drink was and then huffed at me when i requested the food items. Calm down love, it's a bank holiday weekend. Chill out. Harder days are ahead of you compared to what I just put you through.

To be fair there are 2 younger members of staff who are very courteous and lovely. However the two older members of staff surely must be a local institution by now. The very idea of customers daring to enter the bakery seems to fill them with indignation and quiet fury. I thoughrly enjoy my weekly visits, mainly because of the element of pot luck. Kind and courteous service from Team A or abuse and hostility from Team B. It adds some excitement to your week. Never change ladies!

10/10 customer service from the manager!! Makes a real difference to have a lovely conversation whilst being served. Picked up some lovely bits but what an angel she was, I will certainly be returning!

The star is for the food.The lack of any additional stars is due to the dreadful customer service I just experienced.I have never been served by two people that are so rude, customer service is quite clearly not a factor at Parsons.Most definitely will not be returning.

Croissants gone again!! The only non-sweet item in the cake range. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

I have only given this branch 3 stars. I have always been happy with the food. Although in my opinion the lardy cake needs more lard and less bread - at times it is like a farmhouse bloomer with a few raisins scattered over the top.This morning I have been upset by the customer service recieved when ordering my cakes. Most people at this present time are greeting people with smiles. The bakery this morning was shrouded in gloom. I am aware that it is a difficult time for many people. However, I felt that it was a huge effort for those at the counter to take my order and that I was an irritation. A splinter in their day. My walk of the day was in tatters. I feel that I will not be going to this establishment until a friendlier group of staff grace Parsons doors once again.
