been here a couple of times now. first for drinks at the bar and second to play snooker. the bar area is nice and they also do food. the snooker room is separate from the bar and pool (not swimming pool) area. there is also skittles available. there are 4 flights of stairs to negotiate so be warned. the staff are super friendly and amiable....

First visit & pleasantly surprised by our experience after reading reviews others have left - very nearly didn't go! The lady behind the bar was helpful & gave a nice welcome (offering help on where the other tables were located etc). Appearance inside needs a little help but I've never seen anything else inside a snooker club so not concerned! Drinks reasonably priced & so is table time. £6 per hr, not bad. Will revisit.

Very lovely and friendly staff, always welcome you with a smile. Very clean place and the toilet facilities are always very clean, though some drinks are expensive there, I still like hanging out there.

Matchplay Snooker Club
This is a calm, relaxed snooker club. There are 6 ft pool tables as well as a separate room of full-sized snooker tables. There’s also a skittles alley that one can play on for free. There’s a food and drink menu that’s very reasonably priced. Pool/snooker tables are paid for by the hour, and can be booked in advance though walk-ins are permitted. All staff are very friendly.

Went here sunday evening, the place is nice and tidy and well kitted out, however the man behind the bar was extremely rude, A group of us purchased several drinks and snacks during our visit however my brother didn't want a fizzy drink and just wanted some tap water, this previously hasn't been a problem.This occasion the man behind the bar (quite a big bloke always frowning) Snapped at us telling us we can only have bottled water and we have to pay for it, i calmly explained that all licenced premises within the uk have an obligation to supply non filtered tap water on request for free. It was a simple request but we were told that he's not doing it for us because we have to buy the water or get out and then he told me to use the tap in the toilet to fill up our glass or go without.Extremely unacceptable behavior and very rude! We are bring you business and that individual thinks he can talk to their customers like that.
