Great little stop off. Fantastic pictures with the kids. Could really do with an info board and maybe some interesting facts for kids to read to increase understanding. Kids had lots of questions so had to do some quick Google research to answer them.

Come here for photos of my daughter's with the wildflowers annually. Usually we head there early July and the flowers are at their fullest. Nice place for a photoshoot.

We loved stopped whilst on our bike ride so my wife could take photos off it. It looks fantastic with all the wild flowers around it. If you've never stopped there then please do as it's great to just lye in the grass and enjoy the birds singing.

It could do with a bit of restoration to the wind vanes. Access road up to it was capped off many moons ago, so the only way to drive up to it is through a housing estate complete with ridiculously high speed bumps that a mountain goat would struggle with. Limited parking on a narrow street. The mill itself is a popular attraction for photographers any time of day or night but such a shame that house's were allowed to be built so close thereby spoiling the background for photos. All that aside, it's a nice reminder of a bygone age when life was so much simpler. I liked it.

Great windmill in the middle of a poppy field.Not everyone can boast having a windmill next to their home (myself included).Would like to see the sails moving though although that may be a health and safety nightmare.
