Amazing service from true textile artistes! Had two pairs of trousers and a jacket repaired here and the work was incredible. So convenient for South Manchester too as all the other clothing repair businesses seem to be in the city centre. Highly recommended!

Horrendous service, made an absolute mess of my clothes. Do not recommend. They gave me a refund as they had realised their mistake but doesn’t change the fact that my clothes are now ruined. Customer service is also horrendous, the owner has insinuated my clothes are too ‘tight’ for me - DISGRACEFUL.

I’ve been to the Zipyard a few times now for some repairs to jeans and to get something cut and sewn.One time, a jeans button needed fixing and the first repair didn’t last long, but Julie fixed it free of charge and it’s still going strong a couple of months later.The jeans repairs which Julie did have been fabulous. Cheaper and better than the denim doctor in the city. If you have a favourite pair of jeans and they need a repair, then Julie is going to do a great job.I needed a cover for a leg pillow following an ankle operation and Liz made an excellent cover for me. She designed and sewed it.I’d recommend both Julie and Liz for anything that involves sewing.

Absolutley great service. I needed some sofa covers quickly repaired and they accepted without batting an eye even though I was under the impression they only fixed and altered clothes. Was very speedy as well, 4 25 inch zips and rips done in 2 days! And I didnt even use the express service they offer. A well earned 5 stars and I will definatly be coming back for any future needed repairs :)

I had a dress to be altered for a wedding I was going to just last weekend. Julie gave the best customer service and made me feel so comfortable discussing how I wanted it to fit and the length of the dress.Liz did an absolutely amazing job of worling with the lace and shortening to the dress for me and adding some boning to the dress.I'll definitely be going again and I would highly recommend!Thank you both so much again.

Had the worst customer service experience of my life with this company.My dress arrived 2 weeks later than agreed after having to do all the chasing myself, first calling them to ask when it would be ready only to be told to come into the store on two occasions to collect my dress that was not in the store or finished. On my second collection attempt I ended up on a 20 minute phone call with the manager yelling at me saying I was being unreasonable asking for a full refund for the waste of my time, petrol and stress at not receiving my item because I had said 'it wasn't urgent'. Apparently that meant it wasn't a priority no matter how many times I got in touch. I was only offered half my money back refund as she was still going to do the work even though I asked for the dress to be returned immediately.Now that I finally have my dress back the alterations are wrong and I will now have to go to another tailor.I would not recommend wasting your time or money on this alternations company.

I recently had three cushions restyled with new covers and couldn't be happier with the results! The staff worked closely with me to ensure that the final product was exactly what I wanted, and when I picked up the cushions, they had a great contemporary look. I highly recommend Zip Yard Stretford!

Brilliant friendly service- repaired a jacket for me - really neatly done. Not normally one for leaving reviews, but the repair on a favourite woollen jumper was so beautifully done that I had to share. It had 3 bad moth holes on the front which they’ve darned so carefully that I can’t see the join. Brilliant!
