Holiday Inn Express Lichfield

the location is amazing, McDonald's, gym, costa, wingers, tan bed shop and a subway are all in the little service station. The rooms were satisfactory and very clean, the bar was quite nice, the breakfast was amazing, large selection and pancake maker! But what really makes this hotel one of my favourites is the staff. The staff are so helpful, kind and go the extra mile to make sure you have an amazing stay. We didn't know the area and we asked a lad behind the reception if he reccomended anywhere to go for dinner and he didn't because he lived an hour away, but he researched the local area and printed off the menu of a four star Indian in Lichfield which really made our trip. Thank you staff for taking our stay above and beyond.

Just amazing customer service. I was towed to the Inn late at night after an engine failure. Emotional and exhausted the staff were just amazing. Every single one of them made me feel better. They even helped have my car recovered. Can’t thank everyone enough for their amazing service. Room was lovely and clean and it even included breakfast. One very, very happy customer ❤️

Really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were fantastic, engaged with us well and you could see they were making a strong effort to look after everyone and do their best.Rooms need a little work here and there in terms of repair and updating, missing hooks in one of the two rooms we had, webs on ceilings and light bulbs that needed replacing. We found rooms abit dark considering we were getting ready for a wedding and the women wanted to do their make up. Free parking and a working water machine in the heat for the win though.

A pleasantly quite and enjoyable stay. Breakfast was plentiful.Stay were on hand when needed.Bar area isn't really inviting.Although the car parking is free I think guests should be made more aware at check-in that there is a need to register their vehicle

The staff at the Holiday Inn were excellent and extremely helpful during our stay. The location is approximately 2 miles outside of the city, and so consider driving or public transport into the town.Unfortunately the room we had was in need of a little care and attention, with the wallpaper behind the bed beginning to peel away from the wall.The main issue with this accommodation is parking. Yes, there is parking and plenty of it. However you have to register your vehicle within 2 hours of arrival, if you fail to do this you will receive a parking fine, even if you are staying at the hotel and registered later in the day.We had booked a number of rooms for one stay and had numerous requests from guests advising that they received fines, even though they had registered their vehicles, apparently they weren't done within the two hours.Please be aware.

Good hotel, good breakfast. friendly people.After two weeks I want to add: highway is loud and near, and (as in most hotels) the doors are a bit old.But the friendly people at the desk allways made me feel welcome.

Very pleasant stay, Lucy who was working on the Friday and Saturday really looked after us and made for a very pleasant stay, the lady has the patience of a Saint - her professionalism dealing with a highly obnoxious guest is to be admired - i would have asked him to leave than put up with the garbage and attitude from him. Well done Lucy. As for everything else, Rooms were very clean and comfortable, hotel was the same, clean and fresh. Only downside was wifi is non-existent which meant couldn't receive calls as the building decision and structure blocks mobile signals. Overall though - a pleasant stay with some very professional and friendly staff.
