Bought pre packaged sweets from here. And it was full of fungi. We are regulars. Very disappointed with the hygiene standards.

Good place to get halal meat. Lowest price I've seen compared to another place.Right in front of a bus stop, which makes traveling easy.Also there's a parking spot behind the place which they can validate after shopping.Great place!

Regular customer here until I got sent a 160 pound parking fine for using their parking space to shop at the store. I was a customer but can't prove it as I lost receipt. They can't prove I wasn't a customer but I bet you can guess who was bullied into paying the fine.I can't risk it again so taking my business elsewhere.

A failed customer service.During my initial visit to this store, I was taken aback when I received a parking fine of £160, despite having parked and shopped at the establishment. As I exited the store, I took the precaution of registering my car and even sought confirmation from the shopkeeper that this action was sufficient. He reassured me it should be fine. However, to my dismay, I still received a fine for my 20-minute parking.In my attempt to resolve this issue, I reached out to the shop owner, Anwar, via WhatsApp. I promptly sent him evidence of my purchase, complete with the receipt, while explaining the situation. I noticed that he read my messages on WhatsApp, as indicated by the blue tick, but I received no response whatsoever. Dissatisfied, I tried to contact him through phone calls, during which he promised to call me back, but regrettably, I never received any response or acknowledgment. Subsequently, my calls were consistently ignored.This is not the level of customer service one would expect. Even if Anwar could not directly assist me due to the involvement of a lawyer, a simple acknowledgment of the situation would have sufficed.I'm aware that I am not the first person to encounter this issue, and I implore Anwar to reconsider how he treats his customers and show more respect and understanding in such matters.

Tahmid Stores has a good collection of Indian and south-east Asian stuffs. I buy all the Indian grocery items from Tahmid. Whether it is different types of pulses (dal), grains, spices, snacks or spices - MDH, Shaan or any raw individual items, you can get them all. They also sell Indian vegetables but they are quite expensive.

This place is not for everyone but it's absolutely great if you like cooking from scratch and you need cultural items or bulk items to cook with. You have spices, pulses, cultural snacks and sweets and a butcher inside. You can buy all types of cultural drinks and traditional foods from various cultures including fresh fruit and vegetables. I can get in with my wheelchair using some level of navigational skills and helpful attitudes from both staff and the other customers. Getting round the fresh veg part is the trickiest. You might struggle if you're in a manual chair however due to width of aisles and things sticking out. The ramp going inside is more of a mound. There's plenty of polite staff to help you. My only thing I would warn of is to be careful about navigating the fresh veg. You need to check it all beforehand. Otherwise probably my favourite place to shop round the Cowely road and most of Oxford.
