Went with friends yesterday as we had been before, some while ago but hope what we experienced was because of new Management teething problems. Drinks were not what we ordered… but rectified, my starter of garlic mushrooms had clearly been refried as they were hard as rocks but I did say something & cost at paying was removed, the food overall was average to be honest, edible but not exceptional. One of us had a steak pie which was very nice. Chips were nice too. As for the rest …Vegetable Lasagne … not much veg evident & lots of cheese, disappointing scampi was fresh but mushy peas tasteless.There were error in our bill, overcharged which were amended when pointed out, plus I thought it was very expensive for below average fayre.The staff were young & helpful and very nice but I really hope that it gets its act together as it’s a smashing venue near The Castle, which IS worth a visit. I can’t say I’ll definitely go again, but may go in a few months to check if it’s improved.

Food was really great will definetly go back for the food but service was terrible. Staff looked bored and so unfriendly. Took 20 minutes just to greet us and confirm food would be prepared as we had pre-ordered. 3 hours we spent there when could have easily had been just 2h. Wasn't even busy.

I have always liked the Sondes Arms and have always enjoyed our visit. We came for another great carvery there today, tasty veg, friendly staff with great personalities and some cakes to bring home. Couldn't ask for anything better thanks guys!!

Very good Christmas carvery meal Large parties catered for. Lovely well decorated surroundings. Staff very attentive & good efficient service. Well done to the dedicated team here.

Lovely pub great atmosphere excellent food. Carvery on a Wednesday and a Friday. I definitely had more than my moneys worth. Would definitely eat there again

Outstandingly service minded staff! I was visiting Corby for work and had dinner with some colleagues here and forgot my handbag when we left. I called them later in the evening, a wonderfully friendly young man answered the phone and promised to drop off my bag at my hotel! In just a few minutes he showed up at the hotel reception with my bag and I cannot even explain with words how thankful I was, and still am! And oh, the food was also great!
