My favourite go-to bookstore in Cambridge!!Waterstones bookstore in Cambridge is an absolute gem for book lovers like me! The moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The sheer range of books they offer is impressive, spanning across various genres and interests.I spent hours exploring the well-organized shelves, and the staff was incredibly helpful, guiding me to some fantastic reads based on my preferences. It's evident that the employees are passionate about books, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance is perfect for getting lost in the world of literature. There are comfy reading spots scattered throughout the store, inviting you to sit back, relax, and delve into the pages of a new adventure.Aside from the vast book collection, Waterstones also hosts exciting book events and author signings, which adds an extra layer of excitement to the store's allure. If you're a book enthusiast, I can't recommend Waterstones in Cambridge enough. It's a haven for bibliophiles and a true haven for bookish exploration.

Cafe staff (girl with blonde hair) was exceptionally rude! The cafe closes at 6pm and we went in for a quick drink and to feed our baby just before 5:30, to be told very rudely that the cafe closes in half an hour and we would need to leave at 6. That was fine but then she was rude about having to tell us the prices of the cakes as she’d cleaned up too early and took the prices off everything, and then huffed and puffed about having to get us two glasses of water as they’d also tidied away the drinking water. Horrible woman!

Staff at cafe upstairs were incredibly rude. Zero tact when dealing with customers, snappy, confrontational and quite frankly put me in a foul mood. Book shop is lovely though.

Very nice coffee shop. Lots of seating if people not stay here all day as if it is a library. Great staff. Strong coffee. The chocolate banana bread was the perfect pair with a cappuccino.

Best book store I've been to in my life. Huge, 4 levels, a beautiful selection. Loved every minute of my perusal.

Very nice book store. It has a large variety of books in fiction and in non-fiction, and also a great collection of magazines. I especially liked that they have many science and arts magazines that are not easily found in a regular book store. Great iced lattes in the cafe upstairs also!

I went to the book signing of David Walliams, overall was a great experience. However was greatly disappointed by the attitude of the staff and how I was treated. After waiting in line, I arrived at the desk where the books were being signed and was grabbed and pulled by a security guard while being accused of drinking/slash carrying alcohol, this was at 11:30 and it was a can of soft drink, in addition all members of staff during this time were very blunt and incredibly rude. I enjoyed meeting the author, however would not recommend, due to the poor attitude created by the staff.

It's impossible not to like Waterstones! This one is situated across three floors, there's a small cafe too with toilets situated close by. It is clear where each genre of books is and on what floor as it's all well sign posted. The staircase inside is brilliant and just fits being inside a book store - but there is an elevator if needed. There are plenty of books to choose from, such a wide variety, and if they don't have it they can order it in for you. The staff are always friendly and helpful, but they don't bother you if you're just browsing which is a plus! The only negative about this store is it's situated near to the entrance to a nightclub which is quite grotty and smelly - nothing the staff can do about that sadly. There are also often homeless people that congregate near the entrance asking for money. The inside of the store itself is immaculate and I always enjoy visiting. Highly recommended.

Absolutely massive bookshop spread over multiple floors, with a coffe shop, kids section and much more. One can spend an entire day here just browsing, reading and having the best time ever. Yes, you can probably buy everything online at a better rate, however the atmosphere and customer service are absolutely worth your trip and the added cost! Also they are dog friendly.Highly recommend!
