I usually shop at Max Mara in Italy or the US, so maybe I’m used to a higher level of service. I walked in yesterday afternoon to check out the new line of coats, asked to try on a trench coat and the clerk seemed to not want to help me. She asked what size I wear (typically a 2 here, but I like to layer under my coats so often purchase 4s), I told her 4. It seems she checked the size of the coat that was on display and already in her hand - a size 10 - then got lazy and didn’t want to go get me my proper size to try on, so she proceeds to tell me I “look like a size 10.” I had to awkwardly correct her, and insisted she get me my proper size. She did so quickly, and I tried it on but didn’t love how it looked on me (it looked way too oversized). Instead of shopping around, I chose to leave. I just didn’t feel comfortable there/felt like I would be bothering the employees should I request to try on anything else. The selection in the store was great, but these are pricier designer pieces and customers who are spending these amounts deserve a much higher caliber of customer service than the one I experienced which was borderline insulting.

Unfortunately, I waited 30 minutes for service and nobody came to check how I was doing. Only Asian customers get served, shame. Instead, went to Harrods and got what I wanted in less than 10 minutes.

Atrocious customer service in this store. I have been a faithful MaxMara shopper for 20 years, purchasing costs, handbags and other items here in the North East and in Italy. I purchased a leisure top at this London store and was deeply unhappy about how it looked after the first wash. I spent five weeks trying to get some action from this premium brand, emailed photos etc and they have said they will neither replace nor refund the item which was washed and dried as per instructions. Had I purchased it in a local department store or from a smaller dependent retailer the response would have been very different. Poor show for a flagship store. I haven’t the time to take it further but I am bitterly disappointed that they will do nothing to remedy a genuine customer complaint .I actually would have awarded zero stars if the review system had allowed me.

Update: I did contact the general customer service with three messages but they ghosted me. Please consider how much inconvenience you have cost me by not packing up the belt. I just need a simple solution— getting the belt I paid for. All you need to to is to be a professional and make up the mistake.I bought a madame coat on 12/30 2022 at 17:03. The SA who helped me was very professional and helpful, but did not pack me the inner belt. I don’t think she did it intentionally, but I need the belt. Please let me know your email address so I can discuss this further. I have called you today but no one was picking up the phone.

Always welcoming customers.Surprisingly i went there for the wedding dress shopping.Making an appointment was smooth. By then i have already been to few other wedding dress shops. But i chose to get the dress for my special day, not because the dress was gorgeous but because of the great experience i had with the team in the shop. Doesn’t matter how many time i visited to try the dress, the assistance never made me feel awkward, but always welcomed me and ALL my friends who came with me each time. They didn’t rush me to try the dress, didn’t rush me to purchase but waited until i was 100% happy with the purchase.The assistant also had sooo much knowledge of the MaxMara products. When i asked her to recommend something to wear on the dress (winter wedding), she was recommending lots of different styles.The whole experience was very satisfying. I will be going back to the shop again for more purchases of everyday look!Premier brand, top class service!

Visited today with a friend to buy a top that I had seen online, on a reputable luxury online clothes shop. The staff in store are friendly and hard working, very helpful. However, I realised after I bought the lovely top that it would have been at least 15% cheaper if I had actually paid it online. My friend insisted I return the top and buy it online, and I should have listened to her.The clothes are lovely but you don't have to pay congestion charge or taxi fares as you will save more money if you stayed home and bought it online!

I would highly recommend the bridal shopping experience here. I came here for my own wedding and later for my friend's wedding bridal dress. You will have to make the appointment online, but the actual experience was very pleasant and enjoyable. The dresses we tried , really make you think wow it was amazing ! If you are about to get married soon, why not MaxMara bridal. ( This is not an adv)

I have bought few some silk top and skirt in 2018’s pre fall collection for my brother’s wedding and they were so beautiful and good quality. I think it is worth to find some silk dresses again for another family’s wedding next year.I went to New Bond street shop on Saturday, the staff looked at me from head to toes and then another staff kept following me whenever I was looking around with my boyfriend. I was not carrying any luxury brand handbag. I was clean and tidy wearing my causal wear for shopping but still high quality well known clothes.They made me feeling very uncomfortable and my boyfriend also saw how the staff stared at me! I don’t know if they were being rude or not. But please be respectful and don’t keep following the customer if they have an idea what to look for! Otherwise they will come to you I believe!Customers may know about Max Mara’s product more than Max Mars’s staff.Please do not keep asking what you are looking for.And telling what the Max Mara clothes are making of wherever the customer looked at. Very disturbing sometimes.

I purchased a coat in November which was charged twice. First the staff told me that the card didn’t read properly hence swiped for the second time. I disputed the false charge but then they charged me back. I called the card service again when they charged my card again. MaxMara shame on you. Be honest and don’t steal customer’s money.

Walked into Max Mara Bond Street today, but I had a very disappointing experience. I walked in and asked specifically for a mustard colour sweater, which I saw online. A Spanish accent lady started asking me where did I see this as they don't have such a colour and said that it must be an old collection and if I want it, I better buy it from Net A Porter. Then she checked me from head to toe and comment outloud: Hmm
