My experience with Mirador Property Letting was initially quite positive, as I had been a tenant in one of their flats for several years while studying at university. However, my perception of them took a significant downturn upon moving out, and I must express my disappointment with the way they handled the situation.First and foremost, I had to endure months of radio silence regarding the return of my deposit. It was a disheartening and frustrating experience to have to chase them up repeatedly just to get some clarity on the matter. To make matters worse, I discovered that the landlord was attempting to deduct money from my deposit for cleaning, which felt unjustified given the flat's condition.When I initially moved into the flat, I noticed that it was far from being in a pristine state. There were cleanliness issues, and even a broken hob, but I chose not to make a fuss about it, mainly because the estate agents seemed very friendly and accommodating. In fact, I had recommended Mirador Property Letting to several of my friends who subsequently faced the same deduction from their deposits, which raised suspicions about the fairness of their practices.What deeply disappointed me was the abrupt shift in the estate agent's attitude towards me. After years of what I thought was positive communication, they became remarkably unresponsive and cold. Even the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) suggested trying to have a conversation with them to resolve the matter, but they remained unwilling to engage in any discussion.To further exacerbate my concerns, I left the flat in a better condition than when I initially moved in, yet the estate agents and the landlord never provided any receipts or documentation for the alleged work that justified deductions from my deposit. This lack of transparency in the process only added to my frustration and disappointment.In conclusion, my experience with Mirador Property Letting went from being highly positive to deeply disheartening. The issues surrounding communication, deductions, and transparency in their practices have left me with a heavy heart. I hope that they take these concerns seriously and work towards improving their tenant relations and overall service quality in the future.
