Poolsbrook Country Park
Poolsbrook Country Park is a lovely place to walk or relax. Today we saw a Cormorant and Crested Grebe. Please could there be more notices not to feed the geese swans and ducks bread stressing the harm it causes.People need education g. It's sad to see the effect its having on the geese etc.

Great here for cycling and walking, plenty of intertwining tracks to wander around on, including the old colliery area.Very peaceful setting and a multitude of routes to take in different directions like the Chesterfield canal, Clowne Greenway to see Creswell crag's, Rother valley country park etc all off-road along Trans Pennine trail and old railway lines.

Poolsbrook Country Park
Ideal walk around main ponds for disabled as most of paths are flat, just dont venture into the nature reserve as it can be boggy and quite uneven.Cafe when open is ok for drinks but check the menue prices for food as can be expensive compared to other country parks I visit.

Poolsbrook Country Park
A delightful place to walk with family and dogs. A great cafe is open until about 2.30pm (in November) and there is a play area for children. Lots of geese and ducks hope to be fed. The circular walk around the lake will be achievable for most and wheelchair users will be able to get around it too.

Great place to stop on the side of the M1 motorway. Plenty of easy walking and a cafe and toilets as well. Small nature reserve.

Great free park, with outdoor play area for children. A decent walk around the lake but not too far. Plenty of wildlife and fishing spots for enthusiasts. Small cafe and toilets. Accessible parking for Blue badge holders.

The campsite is quiet, the staff is very friendly, the toilet blocks are clean.Morrison and Tesco are nearby. What else do we need? Tomorrow we are going to explore the area around Chesterfield.

Great little hidden gem this place.Nice little cafe, plenty of benches and a great view over the lake. There is even some proper little fishing spots if that's your thing. There is also a decent amount of play equipment too although some of it is looking a bit tired" and needs replacing.Overall though it's proper nice place to visit."

Poolsbrook Country Park
A tranquil and beautiful county park with interest for the whole family. Lovely easy walks around 3 naturalised fishing ponds. There are woodland walks, children's play grounds and adult outdoor exercise equipment. There is a cafe, toilets and community building. You can even take your caravan and stay in the caravan park. I think Poolsbrook Country Park is a hidden gem. I love this place.
