Came here with my daughter for a wash and cut. Have found our new salon!! So warm and welcoming, felt at ease even when speaking about personal issues! I wish i got the stylist name as she was top marks!

‘Senior’ stylist didn’t know how to handle curly hair at all, refused to do what I’d asked for, and absolutely butchered the front of my hair, saying if I didn’t like it I could just straighten it. It’s now taken me a year to grow out. Charged me £30 for a butchered dry cut that took her less than 10 minutes to do. Made me feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable the entire time I was there. Would not recommend if you’re an anxious person or if you have anything other than pin straight hair.

I’ve come here twice for pedicures. The first time they were even able to squeeze in an impromptu mini facial just because I asked. Super friendly, kind staff who take meticulous care from head to toe. Love this place!

Awful customer service, unfriendly, barely spoke to me or my son, got my booking wrong - I had booked for me and my son to both have our hair cut, they missed him off the booking and when i asked about it on arrival was told “we don’t have time today”, no apology. Was quoted wrong price when I called and booked the appt, at time of paying was told it was £6 more, again no apology just told to take a copy of price list for next time (no thanks, won’t be returning). Couldn’t wait to get out of there!

The Refinery has opened after lockdown having fully sorted out all the PPE requirements. I was very impressed with their organisation. My hair, as usual, was cut perfectly by Charlotte.
