Excellent service at very short notice - fixed a helicoil into a damaged pedal crank which saved loosing 2 days mountain biking! All sorted within an hour of phoning and that included 30 minutes to get there.

Simply SUPERB SERVICE -Neil at Cogs y Gogs is a Bafang Bikesaver.Positive upbeat and importantly offers expert advice and supplies all the kit. We had a problem with a Bafang 500w motor and display and local experts could not assist/ correctly diagnose. We shipped off the engine and display (£6.99) voia Parcelforce and the next day Neil explained the issue and the rectification - all at exceptional fair pricing. Thank you Neil - you saved our Bafang!Recommended for a reason 5***** is not enough!

Neil is friendly and knowledgeable. He's generous and is skillful as a mechanic ~ he's sorted out some of the messes a previous bike mechanic lumbered me with on my CAAD12 and Sabbath Silk Route.

Recently purchased two mid drive kits from Neil @ Cogs Y Gogs. I couldn't recommend them enough for going above and beyond for me. The standard pedals that came with the kit did not fit my bike so Neil posted me a crank arm he had lying about in the workshop for FREE next day delivery to get me up and riding asap! 10/10 customer service from the moment of enquiry to the aftercare received. If only we had more businesses like this in the world! :)

I Don't normally do reviews but for Neil I'll make an exception got my bike back on Monday I've rode 170 miles and not a single problem rides like a dream yet again a fantastic job.

I’ve owned my cherished 1992 Marin since new, and it’s been great, but recently wondered about an electric bike – one problem - the large spend on a new bike meant it wasn’t going to happen soon. My wife had already bought an Electric Bike a few months ago, so knew it was the way to go. During a recent internet search I came across ‘conversions’ and incredibly a local company called Cogs Y Gogs did them! I made arrangements to take my bike over and met up with Neil the owner of the business. From the first minute I just knew it was right, he put me at ease with his knowledge and confidence in the task, a nice guy. We agreed on the price and I left my bike with him. Within a couple of days the call came through ‘’your bike is ready’’. From the first sighting I was amazed at the quality of his workmanship - not an easy task to hide all the various cables and new equipment but he did a brilliant job. We all know new modern electric bikes have the frames brilliantly designed to accommodate all the fancy bits but with an older style bike it’s not easy, but Neil has done an incredible job, so neat and tidy. I couldn’t wait to ride it and once home I immediately took it out on one of my usual routes – what can I say – absolutely amazing, what a transformation! The previously challenging hills didn’t even bother me! I felt a cheat as the once nasty parts of my route suddenly become ‘easy’, and to be honest wanted more hills! Mine has 3 speed settings but on the flat roads I switch it off, as there’s a reason why I ride to do some sort of exercise! I’m not a great distance rider as my rides are only between 7-12 miles so well within the limits of the battery. It’s those slightly tired moments on the return journey that the battery just helps so much, simply press 1, 2 or 3 and it pushes you along with so much ease it’s just brilliant. Stop pedalling and it cuts the power so I feel very safe on it. Thank you Neil for doing such a brilliant job in converting my old bike into something that takes me to another level of biking joy. Just picked up my ebike from Gogs and Cogs who rebuilt it following a fault with the old motor.The owner kept me informed of my choice of options along the way and his advise and workmanship is first class! When I collected the bike he went to great lengths to explain the operation and maintenance.I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional friendly service. The whole experience was a pleasure!

I had a power problem with my new DIY Befang build, with the help and speedy service of Cog Y Gogs I had it fixed in no time. I live in the Channel Islands and they had the parts to me in no time and cheaper than anyone else. Excellent service !!Niki B
