Pellon Care Centre

My mum was sent to this home after suffering a stroke . She spent a week on the stroke unit at CRH but after being in that home she contracted Covid 19 . Mum said the food was disgusting the care was minimal and she was afraid to press the buzzer for assistance. Mum was in that home for 5 weeks and in them 5 weeks she was never given a bath/ shower or had her hair washed despite requests from family for this to be done . They didn’t provide tv so mum was left sat in a chair all day long with nothing to do and no one to talk to. I would never let my mum go back there she would have been better cared for in a zoo !

Unprofessional and the level of backbiting is unbelievable. Worst place ever worked..

Mum has been here for a few weeks. The staff are wonderful she has had all the care and attention needed to get her back home after she suffered a broken leg in hospital. Physio has been fantastic thanks guys your all great and so welcoming

My dad’s been here for 2 week now , I’ve total confidence in the staff and has everything my dad needs , my dad’s well looked after , the food looks good with good full plates and the place is clean

This rating should be MINUS five stars. If you love your loved one's then don't let them go to Braken Bed Care Hone. Scroll down the reviews and you will find that someone with the same name as the manager has given a 5 star rating?? Of course this could be a coincidence or an atempt to push up the ratings, I know where my bet will be placed. My 92 year old mother in law was sent home with two commodes without any assessment whatsoever., she lives on her own?? The sooner the Care Quality Commisin close this place down the better.

My husband had a stroke and needed extra rehab so was transferred to Brackenbed View from hospital. For the three weeks he spent in Brackenbed View, he came on so much faster than he had done in the previous 3 months in hospital.All the staff were brilliant. The Manager kept me informed all the time and was always ready to answer any questions I had. The Occupational Therapists worked wonders with him. The room he was in was bright and very nicely decorated.I would recommend Brackenbed View to anyone that needs to stay there. Thank you all.

Arrived at 11.20am to find our Grandmother still in bed. Undressed, unfeed basically left to fend for herself an utter disgrace.
