Clayton Hotel Cambridge

I booked a room for my mum and sister who stayed for a week at the hotel. The receptionist, a really nice and cheerful lady (Maria), gave them a super nice welcome and let my mum storing her luggage in the hotel for the whole day before the check-in. Additionally, she helped my family getting around Cambridge by calling taxis and directing them to the best restaurants and places to visit.The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable and big.I really recommend this hotel for whoever wants a perfect stay in Cambridge.

I had the pleasure of staying at Clayton hotel, and I must say that Antra's service truly made the experience exceptional. The ambience was great, but her dedication and attentiveness took it to the next level. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Antra's friendly and professional approach is a testament to the high standard of service at this establishment. I highly recommend her and this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable stay.

The hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean.However, we went to the restaurant for our evening meal and the restaurant was absolutely freezing. we mentioned to our waiter how cold it was and there was a cold breeze coming from the vents but he said the heating is set and couldn't be changed.We had to eat quickly and leave and didn't stay for drinks after as was our intention.

We had wonderful time in Cambridge and it's mainly due to our stay at your hotel. The whole experience was wonderful. The room, food and especially the staff were great. Thank you.

A really good hotel slap bang in the middle of Cambridge. Just a few steps from the station and all the attractions in the city.Excellent staff and service, couldn't do enough. Beds are very comfortable, a good size. Great bathrooms, attention to detail was great, such as a nightlight in the bathroom.The restaurant menu is brief, but all the food we ordered was really good quality, again staff were brilliant, attentive but unobtrusive, great humour too.Breakfast was decent, hot and tasty, plenty of choice with both full continental and cooked choices.Will definitely be backOnly drawback is no parking at the hotel, but there is plenty around the vicinity.

Location is great if you are traveling by train. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options and the bedrooms are lovely and big.It was my first time visiting Cambridge and I want to thank Fernando for all his recommendations about the city and restaurants around.Thank you very much to Valeria also for her big huge smile and assistance during check-in. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived early in the morning but she let us kept our luggage with her while we wondered around.

Room: very nice bed and bedding. Shower gel almost empty. You could ear your next-door neighbour ".Dinner: very good meal.Breakfast: reasonable products to choose from. Drinks were good. Hot food not what is expected. It was almost cold and not good quality."

Stayed for one night, room not cleaned so was changed for another. Bar shut at 10.30pm whilst still drinking. Breakfast OK but not terribly hot. Not really a 4 star hotel as advertised. Convenient for station but a fair distance from the town centre. Best thing was being able to park almost opposite using a Justpark app.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable room and reception staff were brilliant. Sadly the breakfast area was a let down, tables not cleared and cooked food area was not maintained and appeared unclean. My wife is Gluten intolerant and was only offered bread! I would definitely stay here again but book breakfast elsewhere.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in the executive room with a balcony, on arrival we were 'upgraded' to the VIP of the day where we were given two free cocktails, that was a pleasant surprise.Service was fab. We had dinner and breakfast included in the price, and the food was very good.My only concern was that the air conditioning did not work and because of that I had a hot night, informed reception and was told that it was resolved but unfortunately I hadn't. So that is the reason for the 4*Would recommend.
