Premier Inn Swindon West

Looks a bit dated. The rooms look tired and the shower tiles looked a bit unclean.For the money it's a bit too basic and reliant on the posh mattress to sell it.Breakfast was OK, nothing special.Can't say much about service as only spoke a few words to the receptionists, one reasonably friendly, the other appearing rather preoccupied, but the waitress was quite smiley so that helped.A smile can go a long way. Service staff should learn that as #1 rule.Can neither recommend nor condemn. It is what it is...

Walls are paper thin. Could hear everything in the room next door and had to ask for a room change. People working there are lovely but the building is quite simply dreadful.

Most depressing hotel I’ve stayed at. The rooms are cold as ice - no central heating here. Only way to warm is the old air conditioner, which doesn’t always work (have to ask reception to turn it on). Everything is old, carpets are dirty.Restaurant (Beefeater) not even working (gas leak, apparently). Only other option is subway.

Very convenient stopping place for getting to Wales from Kent. Good, clean and comfortable rooms with the lovely Hypnos mattress beds. Loads of hot water with shower and hand washing gels provided plus big fluffy towels. Tea/coffee station well stocked and free top ups in reception. Efficient friendly staff. Beef eater next door for evening meal and breakfast. Free onsite parking with lots of space. Over all a very good break which we will use again (we stopped on our way to Wales and again on our way home), thanks to the hotel and restaurant staff for making our stays comfortable.

I had a comfortable week stay in the premier inn while on a business trip. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly, the comfortable bed made it so I was able to get a needed good night rest every night

The building itself looks a little dated. But don't let that put you off. The room we got was perfectly fine. It was clean, it had a good amount of room and it was very comfortable. It also had windows we could open, a fine rarity in hotels these days. Wouldn't hesitate booking this place again.

The room was not clean it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time, but the bed linen was clean as it was accessible it had to be ok. The reception offered a move but not accessible. No breakfast available on the second morning had only continental available. Probably not going back to this one

A nice quiet night except that their pillows were like concrete and as I was at another branch less than two weeks ago with wonderful pillows... I'm comparing like for like. Also the hot water ran out in the morning which was unexpected.

Came in and the room smelled of mould quite badly... Had to argue quite a bit to get something done about it. To be fair to customer service on site, I got another room in the end.The restaurant is closed for the whole week even though booking is breakfast included therefore it's a massive inconvenience and no alternative offered.All in all a very disappointing stay.

The floor was rotten underneath the bathroom, making a noticable divot. Then the chair in the room nearly fell apart (the front two legs almost came of) when sat on. It was apparent that it had been glued back together before. The air conditioning barely worked, only coming on when it felt like it.But the Premier Inn staff were incredibly enthusiastic, save for some boredom on the night shift. This is less than can be said about the Beefeater's. The staff there were disinterested, waiting 5 minutes before seating people in a half full restaurant. Turning people away, they didn't apologise but instead tutted and looked disappointed with the customer.
