Barklay Park Dog Day Care Centre

A good secure field you can hire by the hour to let the dogs run free without worrying about them escaping. A tree trunk for interest, a paddling pool and tap for those hot days and a shed to shelter from the rain. All you need is your flask of tea.

We've been to a few dog parks around Edinburgh and this is by far their favourite. Lots of space to run, tractor tires to play in and it's used enough that there's lots of interesting smells for them. They're only ready to leave after an hour because they're tired and happy.

I cannot sing Barklay Park's praises enough! We have used their Thank Puppy It's Friday service for our collie cross pup. She wasn't very confident around other dogs when she was small and BP were so attentive to ensure she socialised well but didn't get overwhelmed. We started with shorter sessions and built up to the full morning. She came back from every session happy and exhausted, and staff always gave us an update on how she'd been. The photos that BP post on Facebook were an amazing added bonus - they took this beautiful portrait of her last month!BP were absolutely instrumental in our puppy's socialisation and helping her develop into the happy, confident 6 month old pup that she is now! We will be back as soon as she's been spayed!

Great place to let the dogs burn off some energy in a safe and secure environment.

Just started to bring my baby boy to daycare, and they were really attentive and nice since the beginning. They made sure he had all the vaccines in place, ensuring all the doggies are safe there, and had a nice trial to start with.They were really flexible with me as I had some schedule conflicts, and they even have a doggy bus service!My dog comes home super tired and happy, and is excited when they come to pick him up. Definitely would recommend!

Our dog Murray loves Barklay park! He is always so excited to go in, it is such a great place for him to play (and he definitely loves to play). The staff have always been so friendly and always there to help!

We were on holiday nr Edinburgh with our two dogs and wanted a couple of dog free days to visit some places which do not allow dogs. Both were worn out at the end of each day but could not wait to go in on the 2nd day. The staff were lovely. Even got a report card to say how they had been during the day.

Took my dog there for some settling sessions to see how she would cope with going to daycare there. Unfortunately she didn't settle well at all (she's a lockdown velcro dog) but the staff at BP were incredibly honest about how she did. We tried a couple of sessions, but you can see the care they show to dogs, that they didn't want to take on a dog who was too miserable and overwhelmed in the larger setting.So despite the fact that I went be sending me dog there, I was grateful for their honesty.
