Pets at Home Workington

Brilliant customer service I received recently from the manager Matt and his member of staff, Charlie regarding an issue I have with a VIP voucher.The Workington branch are so helpful and dedicated.

The worst aqua store in England!! Staff are completely clueless and all give different information regarding what fish can and can’t go in tanks together. Have been given information that with a quick google search has been wrong such as goldfish eating plattys. Or being unable to have more than 2 goldfish in a 120L tank when they have about 20 in a single small tank. I have also had to inform staff of dead fish that are just left in tanks full of other fish. Had heard lots of bad things about the Workington store, it’s a shame that it’s true. Just go anywhere else.

Myself and my carer visited pets at home as we needed a few items but our main concern was our cat that has just become home to the dreaded fleas and the absolutely lovely worker named Ashley helped us choose the right product that was best for our little girl, she dropped what she was doing and assisted me with all manner of questions thrown at her until we decided on purchasing the £4.50 a month delivered to our home treatment.I can't thank her enough for all the helpful advice she gave and I think that goes for all the kind staff that work there.Plenty of parking and other outlets nearby should you need to just have a wander around like we did just yesterday.Disabled parking close to the store entrance and the Isle are wide enough to navigate around in my electric wheelchair.Don't forget to get the mobile app and save yourself some money from coupons etc, order online then choose to have a delivery or collect in person.Certain items are online only so best ring ahead to clarify if it's worth your time driving over.

I felt they could have offered more toys suitable for puppies. That said, they do cover quite a lot of other stuff for all animals, so I suppose they can't cover everything. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I'd go again.

Our local pets at home is a great store. I always take my dog in with me, she helps to clear up any loose biscuits left on the floor or under the shelves. The staff are always pleasant and make a fuss of her, she often gets some treats at the till too.

This store is a pretty standard branch of Pets at Home. All the usual products for cats, dogs, birds, rodents, small animals you will find here. The fish section looked OK but I did note some dead carcasses of fish which were in the tanks and others had eaten but no one had bothered to check on the fish. In general visit an independent, Pets at Home can't give you advice on fish. They don't train their staff with fish.
