This is a statue in Parliament Square amongst well known British and Commonwealth political figures. It shows Mahatma Gandhi in his minimalist style of dress he adopted and often seen.He deserves his place here in such a prominent landmark location. A little ironic given his place here in Parliament Square, in the same as Winston Churchill and prominent individuals of the former British Empire.

The statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Parliament Square, Westminster, London, is a work by the sculptor Philip Jackson.In July 2014, Chancellor of the Exchequer of the United Kingdom, George Osborne, announced while on a visit to India that a statue of Mahatma Gandhi would be placed in Parliament Square, Westminster.The statue was unveiled by the Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on 14 March 2015.The statue is 9 feet (2.7 m) tall, and made from bronze. It is based on a photograph of Mahatma Gandhi standing outside the offices of Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald in 1931.

Great to see statue of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, Father of India at London as mark of respect to his struggle and work in the Indian freedom struggle from the British itself. Someone also had payed their condolences on his death anniversary on 30th of January. Was happy and proud to see people all over the world paying respect to him. Statue of other prominent personalities from around the world can also be found here like Nelson Mandela.
