Very dog friendly place. They sell frozen doggie treats.Good value Mon/Tues lunch menu.It would be great if you could pop in anytime for coffee and cake or a sandwich - rather than having set times for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner etc because it's the only place in the area. I think you're missing an opportunity there. The burger wasn't bad, but would benefit from some seasoning and ramping up the deliciousness factor. Crumble was excellent!

What a wonderful stay we have had at Farmhouse at Fincham!Beautiful location with plenty of things to see and do nearby.Rooms were comfortable, plenty of storage space with complimentary tea and biscuits.Breakfast was delicious and we even had dinner one evening which was equally as tasty!Incredibly dog friendly - our pugs were treated like royalty and if they had their way, probably would have moved in! Especially with the breakfast chef and the lovely waitress who served us every morning! (I’m sorry we didn’t catch your name!)The staff were incredible. They were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. Everyone we came across always had a smile on their face, happy to chat and nothing was ever too much trouble. Honestly couldn’t fault them.Overall, a really brilliant stay and we can’t wait to return in the future!

Me and my partner have just spent a evening here in room 312The staff as soon as we got there where extremely helpful and nothing was to much hassle,The room was amazing and the bed was so comfy the shower was extremely powerful. Walls where a little thin but as soon as we pt Tv on it was fine. When we went for an evening meal well we didn’t go away hungry I can tell you that the potions were amazing and the pork well one of the best I have ever tasted. After dinner we went upstairs which no one was there it was a great room with a pool table and lots of sofas to relax in would recommend getting some cards or board games to keep up there.Highly recommend staying for breakfast as above again the food was quickly derlivered to our table and again didn’t go away hungry. We had to be checked out by 10 which was a shame because I would have happily stayed for Sunday lunch.I will recommended this place highlyThank you to all the staff we definitely be returningBradley and Zoe miles

Popped in to the restaurant for the first time . The food was fantastic . Fresh , well seasoned and looked great . One of the best Sunday dinners I’ve had . One small niggle it was cold in the restaurant. Please just get the heating on a while before guest . Will definitely go back

We stayed a night in a chalet (2 double rooms, lounge and kitchen) and had a great time. The chalet was clean and very warm (we had to turn down the heating!) and as we were detached, it was very quiet. We didn't eat there in the evening as the menu is restricted early in the week and we might have been the only people in the restaurant so found a nice pub 5 mins drive away. We enjoyed bar drinks when we got back though and a pool game or two.Our dog had a great time as well, the staff were amazing with her, she was even given a doggy ice-cream! Thank you!Overall, a lovely place and we'd definitely stay again, for longer, if the chalet was available!

The rooms did not live up to the website photos and description. The hotel consists of a set of lodges (think old scout hut) that are subdivided. Not great soundproofing between rooms. Comfortable bed but a bit cramped with limited space for a suitcase. Bathroom clean but small with no space for a toilet bag.Dinner was good standard pub food. Very good cooked breakfast but non-cooked options a little limited.

We were very much looking forward to out stay however after a three hour journey with a baby & a dog we simply turned back and drove home!!! There was a wedding & absolutely no staff so they decided to shut the bar & restaurant to other guests at the last minute. They said they tried to call us thirty minimum previously? Well what good would that have been?Looking at other reviews now the staffing seems to be a big issue! They need to sort this out immediately otherwise they won't have a business.Think before you book!!!!

When we arrived there was a sign on the door that they were short staffed and had a wedding on, so reception wasn't manned, and we needed to call. It took a couple of calls and about ten minutes to check in. The bar/restaurant was also closed due to the staffing issue which was disappointing as the menu looked lovely!Room was pretty nice. Comfy bed, decent shower, separate seating area. Window opened onto a side alley at ground floor, so kept the blinds shut for privacy. Only issue was that the building is old and there is next to no sound proofing. Could hear people walking around upstairs easily, and clearly hear the next room having a phone call. Not advisable if a light sleeper. You could also hear the wedding music very clearly until midnight. We were told breakfast was 8 to 10, which was fine for our first morning on a Sunday, and of good quality, but on arriving to breakfast about 9:20am on the second morning, we were told that weekdays breakfast finished at 9am, and we had missed it. As they were struggling with staff we hadn't been told this, and there no information book in the room.

The restaurant was very bright and seemed very clean, considering they are dog friendly. The food was delicious, although my husband did point out that everything appeared to be either baked or deep fried! We had a lovely meal and it was the best Haddock I have had in a while. Very nice! The white bait was also delicious. There were not any dogs in at the time that we dined, but looking at videos of dogs happily up at the table, dining with their owners would not be something I would like to see in person. I believe they should be made to stay down on the ground, even if the restaurant is dog friendly. All in all, we enjoyed a lovely lunch and would return. Hopefully to enjoy a nice meal again.

We had the afternoon tea. We had a good choice of food, which included tea or coffee. The scones were very nice. There was too much to eat, so we were given a takeaway box.Would we go again?Yes, we would.Well done.
