Visited Karl smiths on st Anne’s road yesterday. Ask the lady in charge to book at the boot of a car. She showed me a broken nail and explained she couldn’t open. Handed over the keys I then tried to open it but appeared broke. The lady didn’t offer any further help. Then I went to the Karl smith garage on Waterloo road. Lovely man greeted me but informed he was only cleaning the cars and no one else available to help.I looked inside a car that I was very interested in and the man went to start it…. It didn’t start…. Only after a few attempts! He called the lady at the other garage and informed that I was interested in the car. I was asked to go and speak with her! She then phoned him back (on loud speaker) and asked if she was on loud speaker ((very suspicious)).Needless to say I didn’t buy the car.Shocking service

Went in for a quote last Monday, it’s now a week on Thursday and still nothing, was promised a quote within the hour, then I’ve been promised almost every day since, really poor service

I've used them a few times great value friendly staff who aren't pushy. If you need a car on finance or have a couple of grand to spend on 1 this is a good place to check.

Not recommended. Happy to sell you a car and overpriced warranty then won't return your calls when there is a problem. bring it back for anything" I was told as I drove my new purchase away... Battery died a couple of weeks later and left me stranded. I carry a jump pack so fortunately got the car going and immediately took it to the dealers to report the failure. No sales staff were available so was directed to a mechanic who was abrupt and unhelpful. Another member of staff put me through to a member of the sales team and was told it would be two weeks before they could look at the car because they we're busy and besides batteries are not covered under the £400 warranty! I then had no choice other than to purchase a new battery from Halfords for £109. Car has been fine since

Terrible experience with this dealership. Suspension fixed incorrectly by them prior to sale of car, resulting in high risk of catastrophic accident. Fortunately a flat tyre forced me to a garage where the problem was identified (and confirmed independently).Karl Smith Cars have ignored my multiple calls and emails for 3+ weeks. Absolutely reckless, off to trading standards I go.They've also falsified a positive review from me on their site.

My experience today was nothing but puzzling. I was urgently looking to buy a car this week due to changes in work arrangements. Yesterday saw a silver Nissan Qashqai 2015 year of making with low milage and agreeable price. I arranged a viewing and left the £250 as the booking fee so that the car wouldn't be sold before I got to the garage the next day.Today saw the car, and it was visually in pristine condition, and I was ready to go ahead with the purchase. I knew in advance that part of service history was missing. It didn't bother me much as I have sold my car in the past without full history due to losing the docs. So the final thing I needed before going ahead was to have a quick test drive to ensure there were no issues with the way the car runs. But the manager refused, saying that a test drive was not an option. The reason was something to do with not having enough staff to take every car on the road or something like that. To be honest, the explanation was so vague that I struggled to make sense of it. He also suggested that if I wanted to see this model in action, I could go to any other car dealers and try it there and then get back to him and purchase this car because if I went ahead with it, they would guarantee it would be in shipshape.I am struggling to make sense of this proposition. If I were buying a brand new can, this would make sense to some extent. However, I was about to pay £7995 for a 7-year-old car with part missing service history from a garage with a mixed review rating. The test drive was not an unreasonable request, I think.Although the manager was polite without a doubt, I felt that he misread me slightly and treated me as a window shopper. But then again, I have paid a reservation fee to secure the car, so my intent was clear, Id think. Anyway, all things considered, I thought it would be safer to purchase my car elsewhere. After the viewing, I spoke with Justine, a lovely and professional lady who immediately refunded my booking fee.So a bittersweet feeling after this viewing.

Avoid buying cars from here. Did a round trip of 60 miles to go and see a car which turned about to be an accident damaged repaired despite being assured by sales person on the phone it wasn't. Had look at few other cars on the forecourt whilst i was there and there were plenty more accident damaged repaired cars being passed on as genuine non accident cars. Buyers be aware and I suggest Avoid buying from here. Would give them zero stars if I could because the way sales person acted whilst we were there they knew the car was previously involved in an accident.

Bought a car from Karl Smith Blackpool 2 years ago and have had nothing but problems. Leaking coolant in 3 different spots over the years, coolant reservoir cracked, leaking oil, leaking brake fluid, rotting exhaust that needed full replacing just to name a few. And most recently my brake system showed as faulty. Garage told me that the last place that replaced the brake pads (just before I bought it) decided to go the cheap route and just replaced the pads even though the discs needed replacing as well and the discs were in terrible condition now and it was dangerous to continue driving like this. I've spent more money on repairs in the last 2 years than the car cost. Despite getting it serviced regularly and taking good care of it. I will never buy a car from Karl Smith in Blackpool again. Very disappointing.

ZERO stars. Don't waste your money or your time! We bought a van for over 12 thousand pounds, on collection it had damages we were not made aware of! Within 24 hours ad blue was showing on the dash. Took it back, they couldn't find the issue, we drove away and within 20 minutes the engine went in the middle of a motorway, Absolute shambles of a company. Selling dangerous vehicles should never be taken lightly! A report to trading trading is needed to these cowboys. Avoid avoid avoid!
