Hubbard's Wholesale Bakery

Went in to buy breakfast/lunch on a Tueday morning at 7am. There were 2 people behind the counter, one was seeing the lady before me the other ? Who knows, didn't even acknowledge me considering the shop is as a phone box. Whether customer left one of the 2 rased her head to indicate yes ... I asked for 2 jam donuts and still she couldn't be bothered to use her vocal chords. I chose to leave rather then gibe my money to a pair of 2 miserable pensioners the customer service was pathetic Nd almost laughable, please don't get this review twisted this pair of workers are blatantly rude and that's being polite.The reason is probably because they know there is no real competition, my advise is to go up to Tankerton 2mins up the road, where they at least treat their customers with more respect then these pair of ignorant miserable pensioners.

Great bakery, great staff, great bread, great cakes. Just Great!!

Whilst taking a stroll through the town centre, we came across this bakery shop. You don't often see the good old traditional bakeries anymore, it's all sourdough, artistan places everywhere. So I got excited and I ordered a meat sausage roll which cost £1.65. If you want a hot one, it will cost £1.75. The sausage roll tasted great, it was packed with flavour and the pastry was lovely too!Only thing was, they don't do vegan sausage roll, so my friend missed out :-(But I enjoyed it!

Old School English bakery. Excellent service.

Not a visit to Whitstable without a visit to Hubbard’s! The line is out the door most days, but it’s well worth it. Fresh loaves of bread, rolls, local Kentish recipes and everything is pretty AND tasty. The bakers who work the counter are very kind and good at maths (lol, they do all bill addition in their head)!

Decent selection of breads & delicacies to choose from - “Mr Blob” is the kids favourite! Nice sausage rolls on offer and gluten free cake options.Regarding negatives, I”d like to see more baguettes for sale - unless you arrive early then these are snapped up very quickly. The venue is a little dated but this is a minor gripe. Staff are “hit and miss”, depending on who serves you. A friendly greeting and smile makes a big difference.

Proper bakery that's authentic, traditional and reasonably priced. I like that the women serving tally up the total of your order in pencil on the back of a paper bag, but still accept card payments. The quality of the bread and pastries is fantastic - in particular the Fransisco Sourdough which is to die for - and there's clear love and passion oozing from this business. No dogs ❌

An absolute little gem!Bread is impeccable and the variety of cakes are in abundance. Clean friendly and a must visit!
