A lovely little spoons in the middle of Fareham with a small seating area out the front. It feels much smaller and cozier once you get inside though. The staff were lovely and friendly, both with the customers and each other. The all day brunch was as fantastic as always and the Guinness was excellent

After reading reviews, you always worry, but everywhere has some bad reviews. On this occasion, we were pleasantly surprised. It was an impromptu dinner out with my wife and three kids and we decided to chose this Wetherspoons pub, rather than the other one in Fareham. It was fairly quiet inside, which is good, as there isn't a massive amount of seating. We ordered our food and the food came out really quickly and all the food was piping hot. I ordered the large mixed grill and all the meat was fantastic. You normally get at least one piece of meat that is poor standard, but it wasn't. The egg was cooked to perfection and the fries were amazing. Well done to the kitchen staff. The only let down was the Ultimate Burger my son chose. It was not really too ultimate in all of our opinions, but it was ok and what you pay, including alcohol, was pretty good for a cheap dinner out. All in all, 5 meals and 4 desserts, with 5 alcoholic drinks and 2 soft drinks, came to around £80.

The waitresses are really friendly. When it gets really busy it gets so hot because it's a small area. It says you can't book but when we walked in there were 3tables reserved so I'm not sure if you have to call or what.

Had a small breakfast (late morning). Everything had clearly been under a heat lamp for some time. The beans were also tasteless. I understand that their breakfasts are priced cheaply, but if cooked to order, they could be a lot better.

Came in for breakfast, arrived barely lukewarm and one egg looked inedible. I asked for another egg, my plate wasn't taken away, the other egg arrived by which time the rest of it was even colder. I got a refund and went elsewhere. Not a good experience

The better of the two spoons in Fare (IMO).A former pub/inn judging by the interesting interior architecture.I had a local ale (see photos) following the popularity of it from the regular customers.Would like to return and appreciate the impressive frontage as well as the food.Sociable staff, too

Lovely pub in the middle of the highstreet to have a drink at. The food can be good but there are times that it is not the best. The staff are lovely and service is ok. It can be busy on the weekends but overall the atmosphere is excellent here and very pleasant. Plus there is a gorgeous view when sitting out the front.

Apparently admitting fault and replacing an item when they’ve made a mistake isn’t worth losing a couple of pounds. Staff seem to be up for a fight & love getting their attitude on.I’ve tried here several times now and every time the same “edgy” haired waitress is misery personified. Wish her personality was as bright as her nails, but to no avail. There’s no C, Q or S here. Last I heard , it was closing down - good riddance.

Ordered a jacket potato for lunch which I have done in various Weatherspoons in the past numerous times. This time however the potato was tiny. As such I made a polite complaint to my waiter who said they would get the managerThe manager arrived a few minutes later and I explained the situation but found her response very rude. She told me that the potato was the size it was. I said that I apologise that potatoes come in different sizes but that my potato had always been a reasonable size at Weatherspoons before and said if they knew it was small they always had the option of giving me an additional half to make up the size. She told me that the menu says one jacket potato (which it doesn't) regardless of size. She clearly wasn't going to budge and the only option she gave me was to take the potato away and give me a refund but that was no good as I needs a quick lunch and had already been waiting. There was no negotiation and just a stand offish attitude. The lady next to me also complained about her chips being cold but at least she got more hot chips brought out to her. She later complained to those on her table that the burger wasn't very nice. I heard this as the tables were so close together that we were almost sat on top of each other.Due to the small portion size and attitude of the manager I certainly won't be going to that Weatherspoons again.
