I must say how impressed i was yesterday , with the overall swift response, caring approach & professional manner of our Queens hospital NHS staff, from the Burton ambulance paramedics who treated my father (who has a history of heart problems) to the staff in the a&e & the acute assessment unit. Total team work ethos was clear to see and very reassuring to say the least. They are in my opinion truly unsung heroes , thank you all so much & please keep up the great work.

The staff here are truly amazing, they are courteous, considerate and professional. Quite recently I had a requirement for some facial surgery, I was fortunate enough to have it at the Treatment Centre, where every effort was made to make me feel at ease, by everyone I came into contact with throughout the procedure. When I returned to outpatients fora review I received the same courtesy Thank you very much..

Had my baby boy here in February and it was one of the best experiences I could have hoped for. Being a first time mum I was terrified of labour but from start to finish I was made to feel comfortable. I was lucky enough to use the birthing pool which was amazing and I would highly recommend if you’re considering it!Would love to thank our amazing midwife Jade who was nothing but patient and encouraging throughout!

I would like to place on record my sincere appreciation for the staff at the Accident & Emergency Department at Queens Hospital, Burton. I have twice required urgent medical assistance there in the last year; on each occasion, I have been tremendously grateful for the kind and sympathetic support I have received. All of the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I was treated in a prompt and efficient manner; the doctors and nurses were extremely professional, the diagnosis was quick and accurate, and I was able to make a swift recovery, thanks to the excellent medical care I received. The hospital premises were clean and hygienic, and all the required medicines and equipment were immediately available. I cannot express what a tremendous relief this was to me in both situations. My most recent experience, only last week, found me disoriented and seriously sick, to the extent that I was obliged to dial 999 from home and ask for an ambulance. The paramedic, Carl, was quick and highly competent, worked out correctly what was wrong with me, and took appropriate measures. He handed me over to two equally helpful ambulance drivers, who drove me to the hospital. The nurses, especially Cherry and Claire, were sweet and cheerful, and the doctor Oliver was reassuring and effective in his treatment. Within a few hours I was feeling much better, and was sent home with some excellent pills to help me recover. We all criticise the NHS and its many failings; but there are times when it works as it is supposed to. It is important to acknowledge when we get things right. I have been fortunate in my experience with your hospital; I am genuinely and deeply grateful. With many thanks and kind regards, Robin Scott (65)

I wish I could remember the name of all the professionals who attended me. From the ward 11 to the delivery suite and ward 12, the staff was well-organized, supportive, friendly, professional and attentive.

I've just had an operation there and can say it was a very pleasant experience (as far as an operation can be).Staff were very friendly and helpful, waiting times very short, rooms were clean, consultant Mr Lee was very good and explained everything clearly at every stage. Anesthetist's again were very clear on what would happen. The ward was warm and comfortable and we were very well cared for. Food was good although the banana was so green it would take several days to ripen so adding it in a snack box wasn't a god idea... but that's only a minor point. Breakfast was good.I also had an emergency visit a few years ago and ambulance staff were amazing at putting me at ease and all staff were again, very helpful. We have had a couple of experiences that were less than satisfactory but that's bound to happen with such a large workforce and organisation.

First time Dad thanks to the amazing staff here. From cleanliness to speed we were seen.Long wait to move to Delivery to be induced but the care through out was second to none. Lovely midwife Lauren took good care of both of us through the night, day shift took over faultless and got the delivery done. Post care was amazing too.Parking is a fault. It's pay upon leave up to 24hr. Anything over, you pay a week the first day. If you don't know then you owe £70 fine rather than 10 ticket. Seems a dirty trick.Given the care I won't let the parking trick bring down my rating of an excellent unit.
