Langdale Lodge Residential & Nursing Care Home

I have worked for Langdale Lodge for the past 16 months and that time has flown by. It has been very easy to settle in as the welcome was very warm and I soon felt as if I had always worked there. Langdale Lodge is a beautiful home and can't imagine working anywhere else now.

As a visitor it is clear to see all the residents are very happy and settled. There is a lovely lounge wich is very homely which leads onto a garden complete with aivery and pet rabbits.The staff are very caring, catering for individual personal needs. They ensure they have plenty of activities and encourage all the residents to join in. It is indeed a home from home, absolutely spotless run by top class professional staff.

Although my mum has only been at Langdale Lodge for a couple of weeks I can honestly say what a lovely homely place it is.All the staff we have met are lovely caring people .There are plenty of smiles all round, from residents ,staff and visitors .The place is lovely and clean and the whole team seem to work well together putting residents at the centre of care.The atmosphere is warm and relaxed ,in fact I even nodded off myself today sitting in the lounge !!We were very scared at the beginning when advised we needed to find mum a nursing home ,but this place has alaid all our fears and we know mum is being well cared for .Thankyou to the team

As entertainers my partner and I go into several nursing homes. I would like to congratulate Langdale, chesterfield. What a fantastic place. Beautifully clean. Fantastic caring staff. The home is decorated with beautiful art work done by the residents. The residents were very happy. Clean and cared for. When asked if they liked living there they all said how lovely if is. The staff were attentive to residents needs at all times and so loving and friendly. As an outsider who sees several homes a month we see the worst and the best and we would rate Langdale at the top.

I've been on visiting Langdale lodge independently as a foot health professional for the last six months and I'm impressed with the compassionate and conscientious care the residents recieve from the staff. The Residents are spoken to and treated with dignity, patience and respect. The home is clean, bright and well furnished. There are regular activities and I would happy to have a family member of mine here .

Oh dear! Oh dear! If you have been unfortunate and there are no spaces anywhere else and you must put your loved in Langdale just be aware, The only thing this home seems interested in is ratings, we were asked to put a good rating on when we first took mum in (which we found unusual but didn’t want it to go against us if we didn’t). Now removed. All started well when we first got mum in there had the usual spiel from the then management with all the promises , we thought we had made the right choice “ not all that glitters is gold” as we found out after the then management changed! Oh dear! Mum now out and saved! Please read genuine reviews not just from staff.

I started here as a RGN in October 2019. Apprehensive about nursing homes from previous bad experiences but you won’t find that here.The home is clean, bright and inviting with a family oriented atmosphere, which you will feel as soon as you walk through the door. This is what a nursing home is supposed to be! The staff go above and beyond to ensure that the service users are cared for like they would like their own families to be cared for. I have worked for langdale lodge since February 2018 and I can honestly say it is the best job and I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather work other than here. I started as a carer and now the deputy manager. From day one I was welcomed with opened arms. Each individual is a valued member of staff. The care the laughter the love that is given to the residents is just so heart warming. The continuous support throughout a day to day is amazing. Honestly I completely love my job. Heres to the future, to the staff, the residents, the families, the owners. It just really is a remarkable company throughout all the homes.Oh and not forgetting how valued the staff was during a difficult time during a pandemic. That has shown gratitude, team work, love and laughter. One big family that just keeps on growing.

I have worked as a registered nurse for this home since may 2019. The staff welcomed me with open arms. The residents are very well looked after by all the staff who always seem to go that extra mile. We have fantastic relationships with our clients and their families looking after everyone like we would our own. A truly outstanding atmosphere and remarkable to place to work.

I have worked for Langdale Lodge for 3 years and the home goes from strength to strength. New staff that genuinely care, always laughter and smiles, recently under gone a cosmetic face lift decor wise. A new manager in place and head of care with high standards just as they should be with regular monthly entertainment...just some of the reasons going to work is a pleasure.
