I started to work with James in September 2020. I was unfit, unconfident and had stopped enjoying fitness.Our training adapted during the pandemic. James helped me realise my goals didn’t need to be put on hold.Since then I see James 2-3 times a week at his kitted-out studio based in South Norwood and attend his HIIT classes at Stanley Arts.James tailors our sessions to get the best out of me -the right balance of engaging and challenging.Our training mixes strength and conditioning. Usually using bodyweight or things I have at home (kettle bells, dumbbells, resistance bands) empowering me to train at home, gym, wherever. But I’ve also benefited from mobility and flexibility coaching to really round out my training.2 years in - I am stronger, fitter and more knowledgeable. James has helped build my confidence and my ability. More importantly I’ve found training fun again - I highly recommend James!

James’ ‘Home Training Bundle’ is a great way of fitting in home workouts alongside work and other commitments at times that suit me. The bespoke program has helped me use equipment I didn't previously have the confidence to use. The feedback James provides has been a great way for me to improve my technique and develop strength without having to fit in a PT session at a particular time.

I would highly recommend James. When I started working with him last year, my aim, more than general fitness, was to try and work on the years of back pain I've had. The way James went about planning our sessions together was very technical and almost felt like physio at points. His knowledge of anatomy and muscle makeup is encyclopedic but he finds simple ways to explain what he's after and why the technique is important. My back issues have gone completely and since the start of the year our sessions have been much more physical and more of what I might call 'usual' PT sessions.James' attitude and personally make it a pleasure to train with him. He's hard and motivating without being 'bootcampy'. If you want to understand why a certain tiny change in position makes all the difference then he'll explain that to you, if you just want to get on and make the gains then he'll put the music on and make you work. My body look is already changing after a few months but more importantly my understanding of how I should be doing each exercise and how my body should feel each time has almost become natural in such a short amount of time. Thanks James!

James was a God sent. I started my training sessions with James 3 years ago. I was attracted to his way of training people. As a disabled wheelchair User, l struggled with certain exercises. My muscles are getting weaker and weaker because I find it challenging to work out certain parts of my body. James simplified every exercises and l was able to work out every part of my body. He started with me from the scratch. I was really upset then because he treated me delicately but it pays off at the end. He showed me techniques in using the equipments. I am so conscious about my body before l met James but now l am happy with my body . Whenever l am training with James l get a strength which makes me do what l couldn't do ordinarily. God used Him to Change my life for good. Meeting James was the best thing that happened to me. I am stronger. I was completely lost and don't find pleasure in anything but James gave me something to look forward to every week . Now people see me and they are inspired with how far l have come.James is very gentle, kind, loving, understanding, discipline and focused. I would recommend him to anyone both able and disabled.

I have been training with James twice a week for 10 months and there have been so many noticeable benefits. I feel much fitter and stronger of course - but I also feel better mentally, more resilient and more able to deal with day to day challenges. James is such a knowledgeable trainer, with interests in physiology and injury prevention. He is very encouraging and his well planned sessions build incrementally until you can’t believe how far you have come and what you are capable of. Truly transformational!

James is a brilliant PT! I went to him with very specific goals and within just one month of weekly sessions plus an online training plan, I saw a massive difference in my strength and physique. I never expected to see such quick results. James is also excellent at explaining the science behind the training which I find fascinating. Each week we build on my goals and I'm reaching new goals that I hadn't even contemplated. Highly recommend
