Foxes Farm Produce - The Pumpkin Patch - Colchester, Essex

Went today and it was a lot of fun. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was because I read the reviews but we stayed 3.5 hours!! We bought a huge assortment of pumpkins, had food, coffee, did the corn maze and our 3 year old loved the sandpit and all the other autumn activities they provided. Will definitely do it again next year.

It’s a great and organised place! See went on a very rainy evening but it was still really fun. The maze was a great touch and I like that there were crates with pumpkins in or you could just pick them straight from the ground. There are wheelbarrows to grab and load up pumpkins. Very good inexpensive evening activity for kids and adults. Will definitely be supporting Foxes Farm more!

My girlfriend & I went on a Monday, off peak, it was very quiet at 10 in the morning but that suits us well! The lady at the entrance stall was kind & friendly, we tried to find her some pencils in the corn maze too but didn’t find any…The pricing was pretty good, we paid £30 something for about 9 pumpkins, some pretty hefty ones, a few smaller ones & a couple of mini ones! (Yes, they are all for just 2 people).We had a great time, there’s lots of other little bits to do for kids;bale play park, the corn maze (with added picture hunt), lots of informational bits dotted around too!Did you know, Pumpkins are 90% water?!The food & drink was good too! Some people may say it’s pricey but of course, you don’t have to buy food there. You can bring picnics along, just as long as you pick up your stuff! Again, too much money? Just don’t buy it! No need to complain! If it’s too much, keeping your money in your pocket will say enough! :)Overall, we spent about an hour & a bit there, but it was definitely time well spent! (You will probably spend longer if you have biological 3D printed copies of yourselves).Special shout out to Ragmarsh Farm food van too - mainly to the woman we had the pleasure of meeting & who is very scared of wasps. :)

I wasn't expecting much other then to buy a pumpkin out of a field, but we was actually there for a fair while, they have nicely sectioned off the area and popped out some hay bails etc. for the kids to climb on. Plenty of different pumpkin varieties to pick from.Getting in wasn't bad as it was well signposted and people directing to car parking. We came away with two fairly small pumpkins at 2 quid each, but you can see how you could easily spend a few quid here buying pumpkins. We spent quite a while queing to pay which was a bit of a pain with a two year old, so would recommend trying to go when a bit quieter!

My partner and I visited the pumpkin patch today and it was lovely, the staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. If you’re looking to pick some pumpkins, here’s the place, they had crates full and a whole patch full, there was also a corn maze for the kids (and adults) to navigate with a game to find the pictures. The food van there was also lovely, with own produce hot dog was lovely and chips were fresh and delicious.

My wife and I went there on Sunday with our grandsons and my son Joel and his wife Taylor. We had a wonderful day there. The weather was wonderful. Foxes farm was really set up well for the children to have fun. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

Didn't live up to the hype online unfortunately. There wasn't much buzz, it was a wet day but wasn't expecting it to be empty. A lot of the pumpkins were rotten. Wasn't picturesque as I'd seen it described online. Pumpkins were pricier than other places I've been and was expensive to even get into. Not many extra activities or food for the entry price. My daughter did enjoy the little play area that was set up though. Depsite this we did have a nice time as a family picking out pumpkins.

Was a good experience, just wish you got a pumpkin for free since you pay £5 to get in, but it’s a lovely environment with lots of parking and very organised

Nice sunflower patch though could use a bit of pruning of stalks. Cute activities for kids too.
