Chatelherault Country Park
Brilliant country park for taking a walk and getting some fresh air and nature. There is plenty of wildlife to see as well. The park includes a visitor centre with an onsite cafe, toilets, shop and small museum. There are plenty of carpark spaces and an on-site playground for families with kids.Certain times of the year, you can see one of the rarest breeds of white cattle in the fields.

Best country park I have been to. Proper walks through the woods etc but be warned, one of the bridges is gone and there was no sign to alert us which resulted in a further 90 minute walk to the next bridge and round.Overall though, great scenery and well maintained paths.Playpark for the kids and and decent visitor centre.

Chatelherault Country Park
It was a beautiful sunny day and as you can imagine the park was very busy with families couples and individuals. Although it was busy the park is so huge you are not continusly bumping into each other. Huge car park so no issues. Paths well maintained and easy accessible for most people however there are some paths that could be a bit challenging but there are signs giving you information. Would recommend going but please take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery and at the end pop into the cafe and treat yourself to a coffee and cake.

Came here for the market on a Sunday (market is 10 - 4pm) got here for 2pm and people were still turning up, very busy! The market was lovely, lots of variety which was good. Then we went for a wee walk with the puppy, lovely grounds to walk around and so beautiful on a sunny day. Would definitely recommend!Only downside was the lack of bins - we got some good and needed to throw out rubbish, one bin was over flowing and people just threw rubbish on the floor. Luckily we found a vendor who had a spare black bag and took our rubbish.

Fantastic place for getting out into nature. Plenty designated walks (dogs welcome) short and long. Not too much to see and do at the building itself I don't think but a nice cafe. Good big play area for the kids adjacent to main car park. Can be busy on nice days and there can be people, but if you're OK with that the an enjoyable day can be had!

Got married there, so I may be biased, but this is a wonderful place to visit. A beautiful historic building on a terrific vantage point. Plus there are wonderful walks and views to be experienced in the grounds. The children too are well catered for with the adventure playground and there is a café for when you need to recharge. Don't forget to visit the old oaks!

Out of this world. This place has it all. Free entrance. Paths that are paved and gravel for buggies and wheelchairs. Phenomenal play are for the children. Large car park. Large grass spaces for picnics and games. Hiking trails. Cycling paths. Walking paths. Great for dogs. Waterfall and forest. Cafe which has a really good selection of sandwiches, treats and drinks at the visitor centre with public bathrooms. Friendly staff. Great to pop in see the gardens and house or Great for spending hours.

Chatelherault Country Park
Few minutes from our house, nice area in general good for running, walking the dog etc. Maybe not so great as a cycle route as there's loads of stairs.White bridge been closed for years and would make the park much better if it had to be reopened as it would give much more in terms of route options. If going with a dog there's definitely a lack of bins around the trails, this leads to people throwing poop bags away rather than disposing of them properly. A few extra bins would be a welcome addition.
