I'd ridden a Brompton for seven years before I bought another one with electric conversion in mind. Another year of thinking about it passed before I took the plunge and sent my new(ish) 3 speed to have the Cytronex kit fitted by the company that designed and developed it.For someone familiar with the Brompton's unique advantages, and limitations, I have found this superb conversion to be absolutely delightful. It easily offers extended rural rides and because you can save on battery power at the touch of a button on the bar I have enjoyed journeys amounting to well over 40 miles carrying all my usual luggage. It is one of the very bestbits of kit I've ever purchased in over 60 years of cycling.
