The Norfolk Royale Hotel
We had an amazing stay here, didn't want to leave, the staff were very friendly, food was good but the evening menu didn't have much choice, location was perfect, close to the beach, shops and park and our room was lovely.

The Norfolk Royale Hotel
Very lovely historic building, the location is fantastic. A minute or so walk from the town centre. The pool was very unique, inside this antique glass conservatory. The pool was warm however the pool building itself cold. No sauna or steam room. The only bad points I would highlight, is that it’s not the most modern of properties inside the rooms. However this gives it more character, so not necessarily a bad thing. Also the restaurant menu was just a 3 course menu. No a-la carte so it seemed. The company who have recently bought this hotel have quite a limited description on this property. It’s a historic building, so creaky floorboards in the hallways etc is to be expected. The in room phone mentions room service etc. However when I tried ringing this no one picked up. Can be a bit hit and miss getting through to the property by phone.Parking @ £12.50 a night and cot hire at £5 per 24 hours. There was a mini fridge in our room. Again this wasn’t listed anywhere on any descriptions, so brought our own cooler box. I even rang the company who runs the hotel and they couldn’t tell me this either.I would recommend. Looks lovely lit up at night and it’s a good property overall.

The Norfolk Royale Hotel
The hotel is very unique, both inside and outside, in a good way! The car park charge is fairly priced and the location of the hotel to the town centre is really close. However the cost of rooms versus the quality, is not good. The room was extremely dated and tired looking, the mattress had no topper, the wallpaper was peeling and worn in a lot of places, one of the windows wouldn't stay up, the bed was extremely small, the bathroom was dirty with black mould on the window ledge. At first we wanted to move the date of our stay due to a music event being postponed on the day of our visit, but the hotel was very inconsiderate and refused to cancel or move our booking to another date. I personally wouldn't recommend, or go back to the hotel.

Hotel was due to be refurbished and some minor problems occurred but these were dealt with buy the efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Hotel was clean, food was adequate and location was quite central for all amenities. Hotel was on a hill so it was quite a strenuous walk from the seafront which may be difficult for those with walking difficulties.Enjoyed our stay

Found dirty laundry down the side of a bed which wasn't ours.Radiator not working in the room and we had 2 small children with us. Not great when it's freezing out. We did get given a heater but couldn't leave on too long as small child walking around.Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, not a great selection or choice.

Had one night in this hotel.3 stars from 5 because only for location!Room was quite big but feels like this hotel obviously needs a renovation! I mean it’s alright if you like vintage stuff - but it’s only IMHO

The Norfolk Royale Hotel
Very centrally located and a short walk from the town. Quite a grand place both in an out. The foyer and public areas are very well furnished as are the rooms. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. We quite happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel at the price we paid.

It's a lovely place to go for afternoon cream tea as special treat. Lovely sandwiches and scones. The Norfolk royal is really close to the town centre so perfect to have a walk around the shops or a walk through the gardens to the beach. I'd recommend it.
