My father was regrettably and sadly placed in this awful incompetent uncaring care home, I witness residents being left alone in lounge area putting the high risk fallers at considerable risk to themselves, my father was left sitting in his own diarrhoea for a considerable length of time. The Romanian floor manager had no people skills and was one of the most incompetent and rudest people I have had the misfortune to meet. My story ends in a very sad way, after the floor manager not seeking medical attention for my father when needed and when told this would happen, my father was eventually blue lighted to resus department and sadly passed away from pneumonia some days later. There are to many things to list about this disgusting place, but Be warned do not be taken in by the show they first put on, if you have a love one and you want to keep them Excately that a loved one DO not put them in there to become neglected and at risk, my father paid the highest price for the floor managers incompetence, she totally failed her duty of care towards my father, I could write so much more that I witness but I would be here all day.18/4/18 would just like to UPDATE in response to the comment left from the owner, thank you for acknowledging my reveiw left, i feel it would be appropriate if the management from Elizabeth House could maybe arrange a meeting with myself, I appreciate the internal investigation has been completed with the Romanian floor manager being taken to disciplinary but due to the facts she was very good at not documenting in care notes I thought you may want to see in person the videos of the high risk residents being left in lounge area alone and of risk of great harm to themselves. I feel very uneasy for the families not aware of this, again I have the videos to show management so please feel free to contact me to arrange a meeting to discuss the home failings and to maybe explain to me why the incompetent floor manager is still in charge when I’m here grieving for my father due to her failure in her duty of care, I look forward to hearing from you in regard to management arranging a meeting with me, you have my contact details as the I was sent correspondence from yourselves.

My Aunt came to this care home in November 2020. On the surface the care home were kind and caring but this was just a facade as they were very uncaring. My Aunt contracted Covid 19 in December whilst residing in the home and died on the 7th January 2021. During her stay my cousins were met with hostility and even when picking up my Aunt's belongings were met with coldness and lack of sympathy. They lost some of my Aunt's belongings and even had the door closed on their faces. No compassion, no symphaphy..utterly disgraceful. Whatever you do..DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THIS HOME !!!!

My Step mother is in this Home and it was so difficult to contact her via their phone, either engaged all the time, or doing breakfast, or doing lunch, or doing medication, or doing tea or we have just put a call through on that wings phone etc. So we got a simple mobile phone for her, but her condition means she keeps forgetting how to answer it, so it's back to their frustrating phone system. 108 residents you would think they could afford a few more phone extensions. It's a joke.

My Father was previously staying at Rawreth Court Nursing home in Rayleigh, where he was very happy and the nursing home met all my Fathers needs.Unfortunately he had to be moved from a nursing home,Rawreth Court, to Elizabeth House in Hadleigh. My Father had Parkinsons and Dementia, but due to his Parkinson's his legs would not always go the way he wanted them to,so he needed patience and an understanding,as all Parkinson's patients would. Before my Father went into Elizabeth House, Rawreth Court completed a full Risk Assessment on all of my Fathers needs, when Elizabeth House accepted my Father, we were confident they could meet his needs but this was not the case. Before my Father passed away I was having a meeting with his social worker, due to the home just hoisting him everywhere, not allowing him to WALK at all. When you have Parkinson's Disease, it is vital you keep using your legs and arms,or the muscles siezeup. My worst nightmare was my Father having the little bit of independence he had left taken away, and the thought of him being slumped in a chair for the rest of his life was destroying me inside. What amazed and upset me the most was the fact that staff were not aware of my Fathers needs ,I had to update different carers to make them aware, my Father does have Parkinson's and he can walk...and he does need to walk. The first day my Father was in Elizabeth House,we left my Dad for approximately 3 hours because we were told we need to buy a wheel chair ,whilst my Mother and I were out getting the chair my Father had a fall, the staff were not aware he could walk, because NOT any of the staff were briefed on my Fathers needs, like all new comers should be.If my Father was still with us,bless his soul, I would have done my upmost to move him, because he was not happy and neither were we as a family.I had a meeting with the Manager Kim and the Deputy Lyn,to have a care plan put in.place for my Father but this did not happen.I do not ever write reviews but this I feel very stongly about.

My husband has lived in Elizabeth House for over 2 years. During this time i have found the staff to be hard working and helpful.Any queries i have had have been dealt with promptly. The staff have been both supportive and kind to both of us, and my husband treted with kindness and respect.I would recommend Elizabeth House to anyone looking for a home for their loved one.

Very disappointed with this care home - my mums broke her wrist there and had cuts on her head - nobody knew how it happened (mum is non verbal with dementia) - she had her gold necklace and gold pendant stolen off her neck - nothing was done to try and discover who stole it and then we had to wait 2 months for the repayment of overpayment with constant phone calls

My mother came down from Nottingham to this care home to be nearer to me her son. She was there roughly 7 weeks and fell over twice the last time resulting in her going to Southend hospital with a fractured spine. The staff at the care home seemed nice to my face but the care supplied particularly at night was bad bordering on negligent . My mother had a urine infection and had to got to the toilet several times in the night and needed help each time as she recently had a stroke and was very unsteady on her feet and weak with her arms. She pressed the buzzer several times but many times they wouldn't come until much later and a couple of times the buzzer was removed from her wall so she couldn't press to call them at all The last time she fell was because she was so desperate to go to toilet she tried to make it on her own. Unfortunately after two weeks in hospital she sadly passed away due to complications

I had a good experience, working at Elizabeth House. From the owner of the company to the last member of staff, have they been very welcoming , makes me feel like a member of family. Miss a lot working there.

My nan has been in this carehome since December, the staff are attentive and accommodating and I can not fault the care here, she is warm well fed and there are plenty of activities to do if they want to get involved. All of the staff are amazing in her wing
